If he is gonna fight in June, I hope it is against someone who is gonna prepare him to face Peter.

As much as I like him, Friday Ahunanya would be the perfect opponent or sparring partner for him. Also, Tua is fighting in Europe. He could really help Golota train for Peter's style.

 

Damn right! All kidding aside, I know Golota takes some heat for his low blow history, but when he keeps them up he's still probably the best body puncher in the heavyweight division. Without the body attack Golota's not half the fighter he is. It's a major part of his overall offensive attack. I think he would need to employ it to have a shot, especially against Peter.

Golota is a rare breed amongst today's heavyweights in that he commits to the body. Honestly, what other heavyweight today goes to the body as much as Golota? They're all pretty much are headhunters.

Two results occur when you go to the body.
1) Opponent's hands come down
and
2) It weakens them and they lose their power

 

Indeed, Golota attacks the body unlike no other heavyweight, and he always has. Remember when he first knocked Bowe down in the rematch with that beautiful straight right hand, left hook combo? When Bowe got up on rollerskates, Golota's first punch was to Bowe's body. Then as he was hammering Bowe with all kinds of vicious shots against the ropes he hit Bowe with some awesome liver and kidney punches as well.

Golota is a natural combination puncher, so it is only natural and instinctual for him to work the head and the body. Also, I think it is natural instinct for him to want to hurt all parts of the body. He'd punch his opponent in the adam's apple just to inflict pain. :!:
