Saying Golota has no chance is a little ridiculous. Maybe a guy like Briggs or Rahman has no chance, but this is Andrew Golota we're talking about.

Golota's waiting for Peter's decision. It's most likely Meehan if Peter doesn't choose him. But you're right, he can't wait much longer.

Peter better crap or get off the pot. :fire

Actually, the longer this goes, the more likely a Golota-Peter bout seems in my eyes.

Seems like the fulkl-court press is on.

Peter is dumb. He can be tricked into this fight!

    :hh

Is it possible that Peter's decided to fight Golota already and training accordingly, but not announcing it yet so Andrew won't have the extra time to prepare?

    Just a thought :think

I doubt that. This is Sam Peter we're talkin' about and he will take part in no training camp until a fight is announced. He probably has his face burried in a double whopper as we speak.

And he's gonna follow that up with a couple of donuts and a big hunk of cheese.

    :rofl

If that's the case could someone please tell Peter to put down that double whopper for a minute, or at least free up one of his hands to sign a contract already?! :deal Any contract at this point will do, just get on with it so Golota can move forward with his plans.

Yes, but beating Povetkin doesn't even guarantee you a title shot.

I personally believe that Golota has better odds against Peter than he does Povetkin. Povetkin is younger, in a great shape, and much better skilled than Peter. Why risk fighting a guy like that when you could fight Kali Meehan and guarantee a shot at a title if you win?

Promoter Dino Duva continues to work on a July fight for heavyweight titleholder Samuel Peter ahead of an October mandatory against ex-titlist Vitali Klitschko. However, Duva denied that a deal was in place for Peter to face either Matt Skelton or Audley Harrison in England, promoter Frank Warren announced last week after conversations with Don King, Peter's copromoter. "There is no deal," Duva said. "But I'm looking at both possibilities. I'm also looking at other possibilities in the U.K. and Germany." In addition to the Warren deal, Duva said he's been contacted about fights for Peter against Alexander Dimitrenko, Oleg Platov and Danny Williams. Duva said Peter might also stay in the U.S. and face somebody else on either July 12 or 19. There is also a chance Peter simply won't fight in July and will go right to the Klitschko fight. "Sam is anxious to fight, but I think it's probably 50-50 that there is a July fight," Duva said. "Sam definitely wants to fight in July and I'll do everything I can to make it work."

Sounds like rubbish. He wants to fight but he's asking for 3 mil against Golota? Sounds like he's looking for an easy one.

I had a feeling Peter wouldn't take an interim fight in July. I think he wants it but Duva doesn't. That's my guess.

Plus no mention of Golota anymore. Duva wants no part of him at all.

Golota should probably sign the Meehan fight pretty soon. The Peter fight looks dead in the water now. :dead
