At this point I doubt Golota will fight Peter.. I think it has been quite obvious for some time now that this fight will not materialize. Seems Peter and his camp from the beginning have not been considering a bout with Golota. Reason for that I suppose is they know it is a real risk and do not want to take it. Because Golota is a big name, would draw quite a bit of money, as he always does, and if they were confident Peter can beat Andrzej, they would see it as a good tune-up fight for Peter.

But apparently this is not the case, and they want no part of Endriiuuu.

For Golotas sake I hope he either gets a fight soon, or calls it quits.. all this sitting around and waiting isnt making him any faster, stronger, better. Its already been how long since the Mollo fight?

    Go Andrzej!! :bbb

Much better route to the championship, in my view. The only question is, can he get on it, by securing a live opponent like Meehan, Thompson or Ruiz for July? How about an ambitious match with Povetkin? Beating a young lion like that would surely secure him a mandatory title fight.

I doubt he's sitting around. Probably doing 70 miles of bicylcing in the Colorado Rockies.

    At 40. And 6'-4", 240 lbs.

Joecool, how many bikes did Golota trash the last time he did that trip?

Michael Moorer was considered for May fight, but he choose to retire instead. Now there is big chance for Meehan fight.

Well at least something looks to be on the schedule.

And I hope you are right JETs. He did say though he is doing some strength training but not so spending time in the gym as he doesnt know of a fight or fight date yet. Either way, Golota always comes in shape, the only thing I worry about is his speed. As always, Go Andrzej!!

    What?
Moorer's retired? He's got himself back into the Top Ten for at least one boxing org and had a KO1 in Feb, and he's retired?

Thought I would've heard more about this. Can anyone confirm or otherwise? He was a two-time HW champion after all, you'd expect a bit of buzz.

He (Moorer) was on ESPN 2 on a WNF card and he said he was retired or at least 95% retired.

I'm curious as to why Meehan is being considered. Last I saw him he was getting blown out by Rahman.

How does Kali get Golota back into the title picture?
