This inactivity is not good for him. Briggs landed a title shot just by staying active fighting complete and utter tomato cans.

The only road is staying active until a title shot opens up.

Yeah, that seems to be about the only route for Golota to take at this point. Fight a bum every couple of months until something comes up (and something will, eventually). DO NOT just sit around for months until papa King can finally make something happen.

If this is the case, I think Golota should now realize that the bum of the month plan is all he can do til something big comes up.

Surely, he's hesitant to sit idle any longer, and shoudl get anyone in there, soon. At least, you'd think King would see it this way.

But Briggs, after running his mouth, now not wanting the fight. How laughable is that?

That was a decent card. I liked it.

King should do this again and should make the Toney - Rahman card like this one was. "Night of the Heavyweights"

Funny how intimidating McCline looks, and how good he isn't.

It has been a long time now. No opponent in sight. Nobody wants to give him a title shot.

Golota is getting older and older.

Maybe its getting close to that time..

He made millions, as well as had/has millions of loyal fans. Fought some of the biggest fights of the 90s and was the unofficial peoples two-time Heavy Weight Champion in fights vs. Byrd and Ruiz which he was robbed in, and still has his health at the end of all that, which is very important. All in all I would consider that a successful career. And when it comes down to it, in the end, he beat up an up and comming Mollo, which everyone said was going to walk all over Golota. By doing that prooved to all his fans that he finally over-came adversity and prooved to us and himself that he has matured, and he finally defeated himself, which all this time has really been the toughest and the only opponent he has faced whom he could not defeat.

I say that is a good ending, and that its time to enjoy the slopes, and thanks for the memories. But if he should continue, I will always support him.

Very good post. At 40 years old, maybe Golota should hang up his gloves. Like you said, he'd be going out on a high note after finally overcoming adversity and beating Mollo.
