Whether is Pineapple Head or James Phoney, Golota needs to have a back up plan! Those two girls change their minds about fighting every minute.

At the very least Golota needs to pound some bum into the canvas to stay sharp.

Unbelievable! There's nothing going on for months on end and then suddenly Golota might fight twice within two months! Strange but definitely exciting news.

I wonder if he would fight on Friday Night fights in the interim. I'm interested to see who he fights and if there's a little rust with the long layoff.

As for Briggs, that's a dangerous but good fight for Andrew. As always, the first round..............

But the punches he does throw, however few, are fast countershots that have the power to drop, anyone.

When Briggs was on FNF the other nite, he looked as big as a bear. Must have weighed an enomorous amount. He sure has some weight to cut for this fight in order to get down to his fighting weight of 275. LOL.

You're right Diamond, I will believe Sha-nay-nay will face Golota when I see him in the ring. He's been known to pull a chickenhawk on more than one occasion.

Should they fight, that first round is gonna be heartstopping for all us Golota fans. :yikes

Does anyone know if this fight's been signed yet? Or has Briggs "verbally agreed" to face Andrew?

Just noticed Golota is ranked top ten in all 3 title belt organizations.

    WBC # 7
    WBA # 6
    IBF # 10

Now Big Daddy Don has something to work with.

So this fight is happening in China or the USA? There might be an eliminator involved?

These two should have fought already this year.

Its only a matter of time now to when the polish warrior beats them all and fullfills his destiny of world domination, in and out of the ring.

Golota should take on Bowe in his tune-up before fighting Briggs.

His rule over the heavyweight division is inevitable.

The controversial Polish heavyweight boxer Andrzej Golota will fight again after a ten month break.

Andrzej Golota will have his next, and perhaps last, chance to win the WBC Federation heavyweight championship title in a duel with the former WBO champ Shannon Briggs in Chengdu, China on November 7.

“We have just come back from a meeting with Don King from Florida. We have arranged all the details regarding Golota’s fight. The old man gave Andrzej free choice on choosing the opponent,” Ziggy Rogalski, owner of the Marciano Gym has told the Przeglad Sportowy sports daily.

Don King has organised two out of Golota’s four failed attempts at gaining the world champ’s belt.

“I don’t feel like going all the way [to China], but I can see that belt in my dreams. This is what keeps me boxing. I must give Briggs a good lashing!”, Golota told Przeglad Sportowy.

Andrzej Golota won a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics as an amateur. When he turned professional in 1992, Golota enjoyed a 16-fight knockout-winning streak. In 2000 he faced Mike Tyson, Tyson dropped Golota in the first round of the bout, and Golota controversially refused to continue after the second round and walked off from the ring, claiming that the referee ignored Tyson's dirty tactics, which included intentional head butts.
