Should be a relatively easy win for AG!

Is Don King cherrypicking Golota's opponent? Golota deserves better than this considering he's at the twilight of his career.

Any news is good news for Golota. I was kinda thinking he'd retire before getting another fight.

He won't win a belt probably, but another Golota fight is all I ask for. Pure excitement. :happy

This is a great fight for AG. Austin's 6'-6" & thats good target practice for Golota, fighting a tall guy...get him ready for whats down the road.

Both AG & Austin are on Boxrec.com for Nov 7th in China, but both have a question mark for their opponent. I guess that will change soon enough.

    ((((((((GO GOLOTA)))))))):happy

Ray Austin is a perfect opponent for Andrew. He is big and slow and has the sparring partner mentality. I think this could be a repeat of the Corey Sanders fight.

At least he's a known name, even though he's not seen as very credible, these days, after Wlad hammered him.

BUt he did fight to a draw against Ibrag, so he's not completely without merti.

    Go, GOLOTA!

To say the truth I'm quite disappointed, I hoped something upper class than Ray Austin...But anyway, better a fight with a bum than no fight at all. Hopefully he will get in few months another opportunity against some upper class fighter, so that he will convince DK and PPV TV's to give him one last shot at the title, which he absolutely deserve!

True. Austin shouldn't present any problems for AG & must be impressive & take him out!

Then he's on his way to one last chance to do it.

Austin ranks in the top 20 for sure, so he's not exactly a bum. He's more like a gatekeeper. If the next fight for Golota is supposed to be for a belt (like most of us assume) this fight is a safe step in that direction. Although I favored Golota to win his bout against Briggs on points, Pineapple Head still has the cannon and would present some KO risk for Golota.

Austin is still better than both McBride and Mollo and would probably beat them both. After 10 months of inactivity it would be tough for Andrew to get a better fight than this one. Let's hope he doesn't hibernate for another year after the Austin fight.
