All guys with major titles are booked already, Golota might want to stay active, his next fight is in China as I'm sure you know.

Staying active is a thing (I'm really happy that AG is finally boxing again after almost a year), what I meant is that there was no need to add any insignificant belt to that fight.

The International Titles are a useful stepping stone though.
Off the top of my head, I think Samil Sam, McCall and Juan Carlos Gomez have gotten themselves high ranks thanks to the WBC International Belt.

Think of it kinda like a junior title ;)

Golota is fighting for WBC International. Boxrec is wrong. Maybe they fight for WBC Intercontinental.

fightnews also said Solis is fighting for WBC International
When Samuel Peter and Vitali Klitschko fight for the WBC world heavyweight championship on Saturday in Berlin, a possible future champion will make his appearance on the undercard. Heavyweight Odlanier Solis (11-0, 7 KOs) will face Chauncy Welliver (35-4-5, 12 KOs). "Welliver has never been knocked out before in more than 40 pro fights," stated Solis' promoter Ahmet Öner. "This is a chance for Odlanier to prove that he is a real knockouter." The bout will be for the vacant WBC international belt, relinquished by "Black Panther" Juan Carlos Gomez before his final elimination win over Vladimir Virchis on September 27th. The unbeaten Solis was a gold medalist in the 2004 Olympics.
