***The Official Golota Express! Bowe-Golota II - 19 years ago today***

Brisback, you know I can understand where you are coming from. I do not want to see it end either, but I truly believe it's over for good. I mean come on bro he's 41 years old and his reflexes are shot. He's been hurt or injured in his last three fights against top 30 opposition.

1. McBride almost had him out in the first.

3. Mollo gave him a golf ball sized mouse around his eye.

3. Austin knocked him down with the first punch of the fight and Golota ends up with a dislocated elbow.

In all three fights he showed TREMENDOUS heart but I think his body is trying to tell him something and it's obvious he no longer has the reflexes. He has power and heart, but that could end up getting him seriously hurt.


At his age, I think it's best he stops now. But I would welcome one last fight against tomatoe can so he does not have to go out like this.

 

Most likely Golota will fight on. He doesn't want to stop. I suggest him to retire. Fight was stopped by doctor. Golota has been injured and couldn't use his left hand. First KO was a flash ko.

If it wasn't for the unlucky low blows Golota would have won against Bowe. I'm not even going to mention Cotton. If it wasn't for the lidocaine shot, Golota would have won against Lewis. If it wasn't for the incompetant ref, Golota would have defeated Grant. If it wasn't for the vertebrae injury Golota would have overcome Tyson. If it wasn't for the corrupt judges Golota would have won against Byrd and Ruiz. If it wasn't for his early round stiffness Golota would have smoked Brewster. If it wasn't for his hand injury Golota would have surely defeated Austin.

Notice a pattern here?

The above is all BS.

Let's face it: We have been awfully good at making excuses for Golota, esentially ascribing his losses to unfortunate external circumstances. When we do this we lose credibility with real boxing fans. We become blind fanatics. The bulk of these losses are Golota's fault and when taken together, point to a deeply flawed incomplete fighter, with both physical and psychological deficits, unfitting of a true champion.

 

Pretty damn funny how many of us got so emotionally attached to a nutcase like Golota, and we have our very own support group. :nut

Ya know what? I think Sam should have wrapped Golota's dead arm around his torso & in the next round he would have KO'ed Austin with a leaping right hand!

All depends on how long it takes for his elbow to feel normal. He doesn't need anymore distractions in there. He would have to be 100% to compete at his age. And if he fights again, Mariola will surely divorce him.

I'd be all for one last tomatoe can farewell fight so he doesn't have to end it like this, but I am not in favor of him mounting yet another comeback.

 

It's all over now, dude. He's way too old. His bones are now brittle. He's now prone to injury. Better for him to retire now, or risk graver injuries. Besides, he's a psychological wreck w/ all the first round losses he suffered. If you love Golota, you have to let him go and retire in the sunset.
