Any idea of when he'll go under the knife? Why are they waiting so long? I thought tendon repair had to be done soon after the injury.

Wonder how long the rehab will be???:think

See if they can mug Larry Holmes and graft his arm in place of Andrew's.
That left jab would come in handy.

Woh there Nelly. She's hot! Imagine trying to get Golota's approval to date her. He would probably challenge you to a little sparring to prove your chops. :hitit

Where are these pics coming from? They seem so personal. Did you steal Andy's digi cam? :respect

I was losing hope.Still can't really believe he will continue after the last debacle.Winning a title is out of the question though.

Damn, thanks for the pics. Is that really Golota's daughter? She is real pretty.

It would be nice to see Golota go out on a good note, but will that injury heal fully, or will it be a neusance for the rest of this career? I really would love to see Golota go out on a positive note, but with this injury, and the time that will be required for it to heal I think he should call it quits. He didnt shake any rust off in the Austin fight, and if he fights again it will be minimum of half a year... that would = one long ass layoff. Not good at all for Andrzej.

Jak by nie bylo, Go Golota!!! :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy

I guess its the best time now since Andrew is one handed.
You would offer Andrew some free painkillers and she is yours :smoke

But .... if you would voluntarily ask Andrew for a free shot below the belt
line he may return you generously the painkillers so basically then you will date her for free.

Yeah, but by the look of the black nail polish and the orange streaks in her hair, she must be around 15 or 16 (rebellious stage). A little out of my age range, legally speaking.

I've heard orange streaks in the hair are very popular in the polish community.

BTW. dating isn't illegal with minors ... s.e.x is not legal but if you want
go to that stage you should ask voluntarily for a legally proven security
before Andrew personally take care of you with just one hand ... so just
stick to ice cream and movie during the date and you will be fine.

I don't think there would be any way in hell that I could look Golota in the eye after nailing his daughter. I'd be so self-conscience that he'd find out, I'd be such a nervous wreak, I would just keal over & die!

    :tired

I also heard about that, but I hope Andrew retire for good this time. I would love to see him with a belt, but it is a difference between being someone's fan and being delusional.

The thing is that he was down instantly against slow, mediocre fighter. That happened before any injury took place - and if you read some posts you can get impression he was generally doing well and only injury prevented him from winning. Sorry, but this is definitely not the fight I have seen.

What I have seen is the same I have seen against Mollo or McBride - he has no speed, his defence is leaky and anyone can hit him (he is only mentally tougher). In his last three fights, he was always in trouble in the opening round - and those were hardly against top opposition.

When he came back against Byrd and Ruiz he was already past prime, but he still could compete at top level (of what was left from HW). He proved to be completely shot now.

    I agree, sadly.

I think he's done as a top level fighter, and after this layoff and surgery, will look even worse next time.
Austin was eating him up, even before the injury. The same Austin Wlad steemrolled with one hand..........Golota is no longer a viable contender........Not even if he were in against the lower top 20.

Hate to say that, as I am as big a fan as most, but you gotta be real about it.

You right his speed is slower ... but hey, he was fast the entire career and what did he won ...., seriously?

He always was lacking the mental toughness and that was his main problem.
There was plenty much slower and worse boxers who at the same time were
successful in winning the titles just because they were tough and used this
in a proper way ... that's including, Valuev, Vitaly and Ruiz.

Now Andrew has his mental issues under control but he seems to be
not properly prepared for the first round and heavy storm. You did
mention Mollo and McBride ... you did not mention Golota won both fights and
that he supposed to do excluding the first round failures and injuries.

Golota's opponents know his weaknesses and try to take him out early.
Right after Golota realize that he heave to get properly prepared in EVERY fight
(even with Toney) for the same scenario he will be successful and wins the title.

If he doesn't ... it is no sense for the next comeback.

Byrd and Ruiz are not the rusher types. Golota needs a different trainer and he should be fine. Watch the fight again and notice how quickly he started unloading shots after the flash knock down. It's too bad that's what it takes to get him going.

I think Andrew Golota should give it one more go, cause leaving a fight injured is no way to end a career and I think if he had not hurt that arm that he would have been able to recover from the knock down and could have beat Ray Austin because he got though the storm that is any first round he fights in and I think he might has been able to pull it out.
