Although I think it would have been possible for Golota to have weathered the storm and come back in the Austin fight, this kind of start is starting to happen too frequently and to devastating effect, considering his age. How much longer can he continue to absorb first rounds like that and continuously come back. It's got to take a toll on a forty-year old's body. I don't know how much he's got left, and that punishment adds up.

If he does come back, and I hope he does, no more first rounds like that!

The rounds like that may be somehow a key to success, Andrew should
just learn how to better survive them. Mollo tried to unload whatever
he could but Andrew was prepared and Mollo spent all his energy early.

The same could be with Austin ... he did mention this in his interview that
he was worried he would have nothing left in later rounds so he decided
to trade with Andrew in the first round to see what happens
... then change to box with Andrew later on.

So if no injury the scenaro could be the same, both Austin and Mollo
tired after first round and pretty easy targets to Andrew whos stamina
    is exceptional.

Where is "the official" statement coming from?

... just a random thought ... will there EVER any injury or
severe lose preventing Andrew from bouncing back into the game?

    So, is he coming back?
    When? Anything in the works?
    Remember, I have a bet w/ Brisback.
If he doesn't come back until May 16,
he's gonna pay me $500.00. If he comes
back, I'm going to pay him.

    What's up, guys?

    JOECOOL!!!!!:D

No operation for now for Golota. The doctor said they will have to wait till the swelling goes down and he will return for a checkup on the condition of his arm in 3 weeks. They said he can forget about boxing for at least half a year. His wife, and doctors all are trying to get Golota to forget about boxing and to put it to rest, but he won't listen to anybody. What hurts him most is the inactivity. He wants to get back into training and into the ring as soon as possible.

He is dealing with the injury well, regardless of the pain. Doesnt take any painkillers and doesnt accept help from anyone when it comes to doing anything.

- Lekarz stanowczo powiedział Andrzejowi "NO boxing".
- Zastosowałam mu "terapię zajęciową", zaangażowałam go w biznes.

    lol :nut

Do you honestly think Austin will wait one year for Andrew? No, he will try to move up and get a title shot himself. Only if he fails (again) will there be an opportunity for Golota one year down the line. By that time, its very unlikely that the rematch with Austin will be a title shot eliminator. If he comes back, Golota is at a minimum 2-3 fights away from a title shot. That's about 3 years from now, assuming he will be back within 12 months (I think an estimate of 12 months is accurate because , remember, doc said no boxing for at least 6 months and that most likely includes no training/sparring). Is it realistic for Golota to be hoping for a championship fight 3 years from now?
