It really is the best fight out there for both of them where they dont have to have any tuneups or anything at all, and theyll both get paid decent an will attract a huge audience.

I can't imagine Bowe would ever be willing to fight Golota again.
His balls probably ache just seeing Golota's name written down.

I'll give Golota one more chance to show he's got enough to do some damage, and I don't mean damage to himself. God only knows when we'll see him in the ring again.

The ol Golota Express is starting to be a depressing ride these days.

She's going so slow, I am wondering if this express has stopped, altogether.

I have lost hope in Golota returning, though, and if he does, I don't see him getting anywhere. Gotta be realistic about it.

I thought his comeback would be next to impossible right after his last fight and the doctor's prognosis later on verified my thinking. In my estimation, it would take at least another 3 years (1 year rehab, 6 months training, plus at least 3 comeback fights) for Andrew to get another title shot. Even Rahman, who was fortunate to get a belt shot because of Povetkin's injury, had to go through at least 4 fights before getting that lucky shot. I hope no one here thinks its realistic for Golota to be fighting 3 years from now. Seeing his deteriorated skills by then, no matter how mentally mature, would be most unfortunate. I'm going to get some slack for this but: Let's get behind our true champ, Adamek, and gradually start to close this Express, possibly after AG's farewell fight. Golota was (notice the past tense) a good, memorable fighter, with a lot of unfullfilled potential. If you go too far beyond that, you're probably exaggarating.:tomb

Sounds like it isn't good...as well as the injury, general wear and tear from a long career. I think the doc's saying they'll have to wait 3-4 months and, so long as there are no further complications, review it then.

One of our natural Polish speakers could make a lot more sense of it though.

Andrew has two torn muscles and the surgeon said that stitching them together would be like stitching two wet pieces of cardboard. It’s a very serious injury. It could take 3-4 months before the arm returns to normal, and that’s if everything goes well. First he had a serious shoulder injury from his car accident, then he tore a muscle against Chris Byrd, and now he re-injured the same muscle and now has an additional torn muscle.

The doc sat with Andrew and viewed the video tape and they believe the injury occured from a failed left hook attempt 33 seconds into the fight (2:27). The doc says Andrew has 9 lives and that he’s the master of masking his weaknesses in the ring. Dave Smith (doc) said that in the 90’s Andrew had the best jab he’s seen in his life in the heavyweight division. After the car accident the jab was never the same and he had to change his style of boxing.
