Now that we've got that out of the way. I dont think McCall is a good matchup for Golota.

McCAll isn't fast starter, isn't young either.
Anybody who isn't fast starter is good for Golota now.
If Golota pass the two first rounds then the age isn't helping McCall either.

Ruiz is a good option as well, Toney would be a perfect one.

 

Normally I would agree that McCall is a bad matchup for Golota, but what the hell are the options at this point. It would be a good test and he's got to put it on the line at this point if he's serious about a return.

Two old guys with big histories going for it one last time!

The fight with Valuev may still be fixed without any need for serious come back.
The Austin fight was unnecessary risk taker and maybe just
the rust off fight with someone like Wach would be enough
... or maybe Golota will give a rematch to Mollo?

 

Golota still has a good chance at beating McCall. Oliver is way overrated by some people. He is painfully slow and old. Of course the big hurtle as always will be getting Andrew out of the first two rounds. If he can do that, he can out box McCall easy.

If I am not mistaken, I saw Andrew Golota w/ his wife on TV watching the Federer-del Potro tennis match in Roland Garros French Open. Correct me if I am wrong. I know Andrew is a tennis freak.

 

You, guys, should be realistic. I don't think Golota w/ his injured shoulder would run the risk of getting permanent disabled if he dares to fight a dangerous fighter like Valuev. At this point since this is just a farewell fight, Golota should just fight a washed up fighter.

 

If you think Golota is slow then you have not seen many of the McCall comeback fights...he makes Golota look like Manny Pacquiao at this point. Don't get me wrong McCall is still very powerful but he moves like pancake syrup in the ring.

 

I think you should stop assuming Golota is going to participate into
the Formula 1 contest. At HW there is no need to have a speed of light
to be successful. Golota is no slower than Vitaly, Valuev or McCall.
... but without serious improvement of his defense at the beginning
of the fight he should not be thinking about any futher come backs.
