Not a bad idea at all. Friday Night Fights would probably pick it up.

I've been wanting Golota to fight Holyfield since the late 90s.

Would still love to see it.

Assuming Golota is no butterfly either its 50/50 fight
but I wouldn't be worry about Golota knocked out early ....
    so Holyfield is highly welcome.

According to bokser.org Adamek will change division to heavyweight so his possible fight with Andrew is getting more real. If it happens the fight will take place in Newark not in Poland.

This would be disastrous! Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all against Adamek moving up in weight after taking care of business at CW with either Cunningham or Hopkins, but this would be a lose-lose situation for the Polish fans. Even if Adamek wins, it proves nothing because Golota is done. Adamek needs instead to take on contenders if he wants to matter in the HW picture. Adamek's camp is obviously pushing for the bigger money and sees Adamek-Golota as a big money oppurtunity (something I question, because no American tv would want any part of this), but this fight is a sideshow and will probably be detrimental to Adamek's career, win or lose.

JETSKI, these rumors that Adamek's fight with Gunn was his last at cruiserweight are bull****.

I heard from a very reliable source at Main Events that Adamek has no intention of abandoning cruiserweight at this time.

In fact, they are preparing to begin negotiations for a rematch with Cunningham.

    Absolutely.

But he could blow it. My biggest fear would be Holyfield landing a haymaker like we haven't seen him throw in 15 years.

Barring that, Golota should win. His lack of speed could be a concern, but I think Golota's superior stamina and activity is the difference. Assuming he could avoid the aforementioned lottery punch, which I could see happening.

    Agreed.

You know, the more I think about it....

If Golota was to have just one more fight for the rest of his career, it would be fitting to end his career against Holyfield.

That's one of the only big names from the 90's that Golota never faced, and it would be a good fight for both of them at this time if both insist to fight on.

The rumors are likely b.s. Bailing out on CW after Gunn, would not be perceived favorably by anyone. However, after he fights Hopkins, Cunningham (more likely as Cunni wants it badly and will be the mandatory anyhow) or both (which is what I want), I can guarantee you that Adamek will be entering heavyweight, regardless of whether he wins or losses in his last cruiserweight fights.

CW = no money, no glory and Adamek , his wife and his camp cleary want both.

    I agree with you.

However, rumors stating that Gunn was his last fight at 200 are false, I am told.

Negotiations should be underway soon for a rematch with Cunningham.

Assuming Adamek wins again, they are going to do everything in their power to make the Hopkins fights.

If Hopkins wants it, it will happen.

This much I am certain of. I'm speculating from this point forward.

If the Hopkins fight happens, my opinion is he (Adamek) will jump to heavyweight afterward, win or lose (unless he wins and Hops wants a rematch if it was close). If it doesn't happen...I'm afraid he might make the jump to heavyweight after Cunningham.

If he somehow loses to Cunningham....I'm guessing rubber match?

I don't know, but I doubt he will lose to Cunningham.

That might be Golota's best chance at "earning" a title shot.

    He would beat Ruiz--again.

Golota needs to fight Botha for the WBF title...then he can get have a title fight with Holyfield.
