Golota was nailing Mollo with some very nice straight right hands right down the pike. Especially in the first few rounds before the eye got messed up.

As for the jab, Golota will have such a big reach advantage I imagine the jab will be effective as well (baring his left arm holds up). Golota will also want to get Adamek against the ropes and pound on him much like he did Byrd.

 

I wonder what Adamek will look like with the extra weight. Will he be ripped like Roy Jones was when he moved up to HW(all muscle) or will he be a bit flabbier? I'm sure he wont gain by eating ho-hos but I wonder if what his phsyique will look like at 213.

 

Adamek is too in shape to look bad, even 20 pounds heavier. Holyfield fought as low as 177 and as high as 220. He never looked bad and I think Adamek has a similar body.

 

I think Tim said Golota hit him harder than anyone in his life. On another note, is Jenna single?

 

It definitely takes a lot of effort to add that much muscle. Most bodybuilders struggle to put on even 10 lbs of muscle in six months. And Adamek does not strike me as a guy who has those kind of genetics. As you said, he's naturally a smaller guy. With just the right diet and weight lifting program, it can probably be done, but I'm also under the impression he'll look a bit soft at heavyweight as well. Extra muscle can slow a fighter down but extra fat will slow you down even more so and also hurt your stamina and we know how Golota can rip punches to the body a la Chris Byrd. Guess we'll just have to see how hog wild Adamek went on that extra kielbasa. Ever had it with sour crout? That's some good eatin'. :hey

Yeah, Witherspoon said that right hand by Golota was the hardest punch he was ever hit with. But I assume that only held true until Lou Savarese knocked him out.

On Saturday, in studio of Polsat after Huck-Ramirez, Andrzej 'Andrew' Gmitruk (Adamek's coach, also Golota's coach in amateur times) said Adamek's gonna weight around 96kg, it equals 211 lbs. They don't want him to go down with weight so much, therefore just 96 kgs should be ok, also they expect Adamek's speed and other valours will be at the same lvls as in last his fight.

 

I agree, with majority of your words, but 190 for cruiserweight is not enough. Before Gunn fight on the official weighting Adamek's weight was around 200lb. Just before the fight his weight was 207 lb and he was in shape during the fight. I think that 210-215 would be a good weight. More than 215 would be a stupidy. Even David Haye, who is bigger (not much) than Adamek weighted before fighting Monte Barett equal 215 punds. But Haye doesnt have to reduce the weight as Adamek does (if he wants to fight Hopkins).
