I'd love to see Golota avenge the Austin loss should he beat Adamek. After that, he should retire on a high note. I can't expect him to win a title at his age and deminished skills. But I suspect someone will have to nail the coffin shut and make Golota retire on one final loss.

I thought Austin held mop duties at his local sty.

    Thanks for the update, Joe.

That would most certainly settle up the mandatory spot for Vitaly.

I didnt think Vitali looked all that impressive against Arreola. It was as if he bulked up too much and was throwing nothing but arm punches. He threw a lot of punches, but they didnt seem to have a whole lot of pop at all. Golota may have a better chance against Vitali than Wlad. Although he'd probably lose to either so Valuev is his best chance.

He's nothing now. He should just retire. He's never going to beat a top 10/15 HW ever again, and he's holding up some potentially very good fights for Adamek; Hopkins, Cunningham II, Guillermo Jones etc.

There are plenty of guys in his position but I didn't see you abuse them like you do Golota.I agree he's done but the dude is part of history altough mainly of wrong reasons.
I see him giving some problems to Adamek maybe.
But Adamek wanted to go to HW anyway so there is no problems holding something up there IMO.

    Golota ain't holding anything up.

Adamek was the one who wanted this fight. He's the one moving up because he stands to make a big pay day, win or lose.

The decision to fight Golota is on him (and one I believe Adamek will ultimately regret).

Adamek is smart. If he can get past Golota he can fight Wlad.

Golota doesn't give a damn about a minor belt. When asked about possibility that his fight with Adamek can be for WBC Intercontinental belt he said he'd prefer to fight for the belt of city Lodz.

I think he still fights for 2 reasons:
    a) he doesn't want to end career after embarrassing lost(Tyson, Brewster, Austin),
    b) he still thinks he can win a major belt.

Whatever happened there ..... if we believe Golota, we may say that not
trying to fit the shoe before buying it (especially if its intended for the
title fight) is just a plain stupidity :patsch (sorry Andrew)

I remember that when Golota went to Germany to root for Adamek [sic!] in his fight with Ulrich they showed his fight with Brewster on the screen over the ring and Andrew was really pissed off. He said that this can't be his last fight.
