As always, this week's edition of On the Ropes will start at its regularly scheduled time, 6pm Eastern Time. You can listen live by clicking the link and also enter our chat in the blogtalk message board; you can call into the show at (646)716-5404.

On the Ropes is back after a exciting weekend of boxing! Join me Jenna J, the Hostess, along with my Co-Host Nick Powers and my dynamic Producer/ Weekly Guest, the amazing Geoffrey Ciani (aka-Rumsfeld). This week’s episode will kick off with a discussion about the two first round match-ups of the Super Six super middleweight tournament with the Jermain Taylor vs. Arthur Abraham fight that came to a end in explosive fashion in the final second of the 12 round, and also the Andre Dirrell vs. Carl Froch bout that had a very controversial conclusion when the scorecards for the fight were announced along with the winner.
We will also be discussing where each of the fighter goes from here and what future match ups you can expect to see if the next few stages of the Super Six tournament..

Next up, we will have an exclusive live interview with former champion Buddy McGirt and his son, current contender James McGirt Junior. This will be the first time in OTR history that a father-son duo has appeared simultaneously on the same broadcast. We will ask both pugilists about various moments from their respective careers and get their unique perspective on the father-son/trainer-boxer relationship that they share. We will also talk about what the future will bring for each man in the boxing landscape.

Following that, we have another special interview with celebrated amateur Donyil Livingston, who is currently looking to have his debut fight in the professional ranks. Livingston was a favorite to make the 2004 Olympic Team, but after suffering a controversial loss in the Western Trials, his decision to turn pro was put on hold. Now Livingston finally looks to make his mark in professional boxing. We will talk to the young prospect about his successful amateur career and discuss his future as a pro.

Finally, we will be discussing some upcoming fights and the latest news on boxing. Highlighting next week's fight list is a very intriguing match-up between Polish pugilists Andrew Golota and reigning cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek. This will be Adamek's first fight in the heavyweight division. He faces a tough challenge in former top contender Andrew Golota. Will Adamek be able to maintain his speed and power in his new weight class? Does he have what it takes to withstand the power of a true punching heavyweight like Golota? These are questions we shall address as we analyze this fight and give our predictions. We will also briefly discuss the interesting match up between Former Heavyweight champion Oliver McCall and contender Lance Whitaker.

Listeners are encouraged to call in and share their thoughts on the latest boxing news and to provide questions and comments for our special guests Buddy McGirt, James McGirt Junior, and Donyil Livingston. Also, if you have any questions for our guests and are unable to call in or access our message boards, please leave a comment here and we will try our best to get your questions out on the show.

There usually are links to sites that stream them but if it isn't being shown on any US airwaves, I will wait till Sat night and then download it (and stay away from hearing the results).

Big fight like this & its fightwek & this ia all the news we're getting...like freakin ZERO news!!??

Oh well, I guess people think its a joke of a fight or something. Seems like nobody wants to talk about it. I'm just pissed off cause we're prob not gonna be able to see it. I don't think I wanna go to a theater to see it.

If the fight is Sat night in Poland @ about 10 or 11pm, thats around 5pm ET.

**** it. Maybe someone in Poland watching on Polsat can give us a round by round...that would be nice.

I think that on the day of the fight there will be more links on that site but today there is one and it's legal:happy You have to download and install Ipla player, which is product of Polsat: http://www.ipla.pl/Ipla__Pobierz_Ipla,2221/index.html
I hope this Ipla player can be used outside Poland because it provides good quality, if not there should be other links.

There should be more news! Mind you there is still time. Surely if Golota lands some of his big stomach and waist shots he is gonna win this bout. He will soon slow down adamek then go for the ko. I hope Golota is in good shape. Mental and Physical.
    Go Golota!

Adamek will be the faster of the two. Golota needs to cut the ring off and hit Adamek anywhere he can. He needs to pin Adamek against the ropes and rip the body like he did againste Byrd. Golota's body shots are one of his biggest assets. Especially against smaller guys so he doesnt roam too low.
