Hey popejking how is the Szpilka case? Is he going to stay in prison?

This guy was going to fight on the undercard of Golota-Adamek but on Friday night after the weigh-in was arrested for some old battery case. Next day Golota with his wife went to police station and were trying to convince police to let him fight. It didn't help but still it was great gesture from Golota.

I hope he retires, cause he looked so horrible is the you tube videos of the Adamek fight and is just so slow now, he should of called it quits after the Mollo fight cause that was a good way to go out, now he has lost 2 straight and is just plan old now, but I remember when he was a world class fighter, and thats the Golota I will remember.

    Very true.

But Golota will also be remembered for taking part in one of the most exciting, bizarre wars against Bowe, who was deemed number one HW at the time. Particularly the rematch.

Normal, less intriguing fighters like Klitschkos are a dime a dozen. Crazy characters like Tyson and Golota only come around every so often. And Golota will definitely be remembered as an intriguing, unpredictable, enigmatic character who was exciting to watch.

    'Mental prime'.

    :rofl:rofl

And then after he got wasted by Brewster, you had to resort to 'spiritual prime'.

    :rofl:rofl

This was a spot on post, Rums. You summed up Golota's comeback career and redemption after the Tyson debacle perfectly. And honestly, I think that's what Golota wanted to prove more than anything. That he wasnt the quitter coward he was seen as from the Tyson fight. And even though his skills were too far faded to win big ones, he succeeded at that. Plus, in most eyes he beat either Byrd, Ruiz or both and was the people's champion of the world in 2004.

Didnt Bowe phone team Golota just after the Adamek fight and say he wanted it to happen?

Bowe was calling Don King since 2004 to sign a promotional contract and to stage Bowe-Golota 3. It was a joke, but now Polish TV REALLY WANTS to pay for that next year.

    I want Golota STAY RETIRED.

I am so sad to see the end for Golota come like this.

Though I have always wanted to see a Bowe-Golota III!!! It would be nice to send Andrew out on a high note. If he just gets into decent shape he beats Bowe easily.

I know the same what everybody knows, so nothing more that he is in the prison. I wish him the best, but it will probably be a hard case, if he was arrested so spectacular. And yeah, Golota showed that he cares about him, because he was in similar situation.

You know, if it really was a bum I also wouldn't mind.

It just has to be a Jeremy Bates caliber fighter not to spoil the fun.

Is Bowe a Jeremy Bates caliber fighter now? Because I haven't seen any of his "comeback" fights.
