I heard that the Diaz vs Diaz press conference was at Mi Tierra in Chicago, one of my favorite restaurants, so I quickly ran over to check it out.
Golota was sitting at the bar, I coudn't believe it. So after taking a few minutes to get over the shock of him being right there in front of me, I went over and said hello.
He was really friendly and funny. I don't remember everything we discussed, I was sort of in a daze, but I did mention the Official Golota Express and told him to check it out. I also asked if he expected to KO McBride quicky like Mike Mollo did but he said no, and that it should be a good fight, and Mollo was just lucky. I asked if he was looking to get a title-shot next year and he just gave me a weird look and said that he's not thinking about that, and he just likes to box.
Of course, I wasn't smart enough to bring a camera :twisted: , but I got his autograph :hey
It would be cool if he did check us out and talked to us.
