It actually was a surprisingly good scrap for a pair of 45 year olds.

Golota almost left boxing by DQ for spitting out his mouthpiece constantly, ref said one more time and he's calling it off

Golota gassed , it was clear by round 3 he was wearing out much faster then Saleta, he even admits it after the fight.

A shame, I really wanted Golota to have a W to finish off the career. I hope he doesn't come up with any other crazy ideas and fights again.. Saleta was real humble and paid Golota his respects after the fight saying that the fight doesn't mean anything, and Golota still is the #1 HW. Well, it is what it is. 1st round was great, then it kept getting worse as Golota gassed out. The "KO" was BS, and it a push, but in reality it doesn't matter, because Golota was in such worse shape that he would have lost anyhow, by KO or not.

I was really hoping for Golota to say his goodbyes in the ring right there, but that didn't happen, asked if he will fight again, he really gave no answer.

Yeah, what a shame. He hasn't taken care of himself the last few years & you can't whip a huge body like that into shape no matter how hard you try. It sucks getting old & thats all there is to it.

Time for Poland to produce another HW that might finally win a HW Title.
