Fury should spar some lanky uncoordinated basketball player who doesn't have a clue how to fight but he should let them wear metal gloves, and Donkey should send a member of his team down to his local homeless shelter to see if they can find any 6'9'' drug addict vagrants with the reach of an orangutan.

This won't sell in the US. Has to be in UK. American's won't get Fury's humour, won't like his fighting style and most don't even know who Wilder is. Fwank isn't daft and knows this.

Lots of games being played here. i reckon they'll put on a UK show next Spring to try to outdo Joshua.

no, it wont sell. people will not pay to watch 2 guys in a fight that means little in determining who the best hw is. and thats giving them the benefit of assuming enough people know them to care in the first place.

Tonight Fury was defensively rubbish - i was genuinely shocked to see how easy Planketa could hit him.

Best way to sell it is going to be for Fury to start running his mouth. Maybe use the "pay to see him lose" strategy. Do wonder what the numbers will be. The adage is "the sport goes as the HW division goes."

I thought Fury held back a little trying to get rounds in, but he did look poor on a number of occasions and still has a long way to go to being back to his best. He might have just been trying things out tonight knowing he could get away with it, but he'll need to be a hell of a lot sharper and cannier against Wilder or he's getting his block knocked off. His jab looked OK, and his movement was decent, but his power punches looked sloppy and lacked sting, and his combinations were almost nonexistent.

I hope he and Peter reconcile and Peter kicks him into prime mental shape, the way he did for Klitschko. At the moment I don't see him remotely close to that same form.

I dunno it’s quite possible Fury thinks he can stink out a win over twelve rounds

They'll not risk that. I'm sure it'll be nice for the boxers and Frank to say, "we sold more", but from a business perspective it makes no sense to have those fights so close together.

Fury needs to trap a few wild boars outside his caravan.

    Great post.

They said the same thing about Ortiz.

Post after post, thread after thread shouting loud and proud that Wilder would never fight Ortiz and said he was ducking him. Now after the fight they say Ortiz was a heart patient old man who is overrated when they were the ones overrating him in the first place.

And now they're cooking up the Dillian Whyte narrative that he's being avoided when there is no value in beating him because afterwards he will be called an overrated bum.

It's playground school boy recycled garbage that would be cute and funny if it wasn't so persistent and repetitive.

IF and i think it is a big if Wilder vs Fury materialises, then i as a fan at least see it as a interesting bout, i shall be turning the volume down on the trash talking and stage managed antics prefight though.

Both talking the talk, just now await them walking the walk.

Wilder can't help what form Fury shows up in. Yes, he's being canny taking on Fury after a long layoff, but Fury accepted, so clearly he thinks he's in with a genuine shot.

I detest Wilder as a person, and I think his resume is extremely poor for a fighter of his supposed calibre, but I have to give him credit if he beats Fury, just as I gave him credit for KOing Ortiz. I think it's pathetic fans trying to downplay any opponent Wilder takes on who they previously acclaimed or accused Wilder of ducking. It happened with Stiverne, it happened with Ortiz and now I see it happening with Fury.

Whoever wins this gets full credit from me.

These fully grown men who wear football shirts need something to do during the alleged "footy" off-season, when not salivating about their favourite 200k a week prima donna. Go on twitter and bring up the profiles of the Wilder haters/Joshua groupies, 7/10 will have UK soccer team logos or pictures of football stadiums. It's really quite startling how brainwashed Eddie has got them.

The "expert" boxing forum posters give no credit to a former Olympic Medalist who also is the undefeated WBC Heavyweight Champion with the greatest record of any heavyweight title holder ever. He is criticized for: 1. having a glass chin. . .2. fighting only bums. . . 3. avoiding a true challenge in Anthony Joshua.

So now that the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder fight is made does this then automatically categorize Fury as a bum?
