The OP has asked two different questions the answers to which may vary.

Will this be Wilder's biggest test?

Probably not. He can't be tested any more than he was against Ortiz without getting beaten. But we won't know the definitive answer to that question (in a yes/no sense) until after the fight is fought.

Will this be Wilder's biggest fight?

Yes. Undoubtedly. This fight is more important to him than Joshua b/c if he wins it will put him in the history books forever as the lineal (i.e. "real") heavyweight champion of the world. He'll still be there irrespective of what happens against Joshua. Incredibly important fight to legitimize his heavyweight championship reign.

Without beating Fury, he's just another anonymous alphabet champion who history will quickly forget.

Fury is like an ironed out version of Nichols so you have to give him a check jabbers chance.

AJ`s defense is better than Fury`s because his guard is so tight his right glove is always protecting his chin Wilder is too fast to drop your hands against and now Usyk is moving up he is the defensive fighter in the heavyweight division because of his footwork.

Usyk was getting tagged by Briedis, who despite being a very good CW, and a decent HW, he's no Elite HW.

Usyk being 'Very good to Elite' in virtually every category, minus power, is what makes Usyk great....He's the complete package.

    Fury's defence > Usyk's.

Don't get me wrong, the above video is the reason why Joshua would be made favorite in a fight with Wilder.

That performance against Parker showed me the difference between the two men with the most power in the division......

Joshua is evolving, fight by fight. He's developing his defence, which will also prolong his stamina across 12 rounds.

I've seen Joshua wipe guys out.....
I've seen Wilder wipe guys out.....

But i've only seen one learning, adapting, evolving and winning fights just as dominantly, but with a different style.

WK A game ? Say what.....he stunk the joint out while throwing a handful of punches against a shot gun shy WK who could not let his hands go........that "fight" was even worse than Lewis/Tua.

If that is Fury's "A" game he is toast beyond toast vs Wilder who will actually let his hands go and force a fire fight.

You can say he stunk the joint out all you like, I picked Wlad to KO Fury, and he schooled him, was it fun to watch? No. But his defense, angles, feints, footwork, jab gave Wlad fits, it is what it is, and the same things that gave Wlad fits, would also give AJ and Wilder fits. AJ is too cautious and he won't take the risks, and may lose in similar fashion to Wlad, Wilder will take the needed risks, and it'll most likely pay off for him.

I haven't decided for whom I'll be rooting in this one.

I used to really hate Fury's guts and find his crass braggadocio totally off-putting, and I started out way back in the day firmly in the camp of Wilder sympathizers (at least during his run up to competing in the Olympics, when his backstory with his daughter first became known and he still acted somewhat humble, etc) but man, things have turned almost fully 180° on both counts. Fury is capable of being a funny ******* (at times, although often still just flat out cringe) and he did, to his credit, learn the craft (far more than I ever thought a green self-uppercutting Fury would be able to) well enough to dance & pot shot his way to immortality - while the lug from Tuscaloosa has become markedly less easy to like for pretty much the duration of his pro career (and especially his WBC reign), both due to his remarks outside the ring and his choices of canned-hunt victims within it.

By the middle of November the needle may have indeed moved far enough past center that I am full-on Team Gypsy (it helps that not three weeks prior I'll have been ringside screaming my head off in support of Fury's little right hand man BJS) - and yet, honestly, no matter which man takes it, the pleasure will be all mine when to said victor goes the spoils of getting KTFO by AJ. :deal:

I think he might. This is not a good time for Fury to face Deontay with his mental health and other problems. Deontay is like a caged animal right now. This will not end well for Fury.

    Sure...

Let's all hope Wilder gets that 'Body' on his record.

Bringing this 'Body on my record' stuff up does Wilder no favors whatsoever.

It makes him look like a fool, so let's stop bringing it up.

Fury is so awkward, a switch hitter who's deceptively mobile for his stature & physique. He taunts opponent's too..

I think Usyk has better footwork & is a better athlete but Fury is more unpredictable & unorthodox in some ways!

He has HOF potential but I'm still not convinced he's the Fury of old ..
