Pretty sure Buster didn't retire undefeated.

Both facts combined, was my point.

You used parentheses. You said lineal champions get in and had some extras in parentheses. The extras would be enough to get in. The lineal part is not, as evidenced by Buster Douglas.

I think the only fights that can be in consideration are

    - wilder vs Joshua
    - Charlo vs Jacobs
    - lomo vs Mikey
    - lomo vs tank
    - Errol vs bud

Of the fights listed I think I’d only take wilder vs Joshua over wilder vs fury. For me the HW division just brings a diff level of excitement into the ring.

I can see Loma Mikey and Errol Bud doing as good or better but not definitely.

Fhe only definitely bigger fight is Aj Wilder as you say.

Any HW fight with Fury against either Wilder or AJ is bigger than the little guys....because he will bring I the casuals and WWE/UFC crowd.

Second is Canelo-GGG....should be on the list.

Imagine if Wilder v Fury turned into a HW version of Lemieux v BJS.

The build up is going be great. Hopefully it gets into mainstream America. I think everything they done going way back to Fury getting into the ring has been great. You can tell they like each other but also are competitive and enjoy the trash talk. It's won't be all fun in games closer to the fight. They both know what this means to their legacy. Too important.

Although when Wilder got into the ring that didn't really work. It would have helped if Fury KO'ed the guy. All the steam was taking out during the weigh in I think. They will get it back on the press tour they are both too charismatic.

As far as the fight itself. I think it might have the recipe to be really good. Fury is a great boxer but let's face it guy is boring to watch. Enter Wilder. I'm convince Wilder can't be in a boring fight. Say what you will be his fight never bore. He doesn't care about the cards he goes for the KO hell or highwater. That's admirable to me. If he feels the fight getting boring he will force the issue on Fury. It's up to Fury if he can keep it boring. Not sure if he has the power to worry Wilder. It is fascinating Wilder is facing someone a couple inches taller than him for once.

Here is the deal with Wilder, he always gets the KO because he uses that left hand to touch his opponent's head before lowering the boom. Give him the feel and accuracy for the right.

Whatever happens I hope it's entertaining and they make alot of money. Should Fury have a couple more fights? Sure. But hell I'm not complaining. Kudos to both of them for getting this thing done.

Wilder is going to land his windmills at some point and then we'll know all about Fury's chin. Fury is still rusty as hell; Wilder is going to slaughter him. Anybody thinking Pianeta is a good measuring stick at this point is deluded.

Tyson needs at least 2 more, probably 3 more, fights.

I'll cheer for Fury, but Wilder is going to sleep him.

I'm another who doesn't think Fury didn't look as bad as some have made out. I'm beginning to think Fury has been out of the ring so long they have forgotten how he used to look in his prime. He always won ugly, much like Wilder he's often looked beatable vs lesser opposition, being dropped by cruiserweights and journeymen, even his win over Wlad while a great win was hardly a performance that had people jumping out of their seat, more like falling asleep in front of the TV.

He's never been a puncher so going to distance wasn't a shock to me. He looked like he was simply getting some rounds in. Sure this was against a very much over matched opponent and so I wouldn't say he's close to being back to 100% but I saw definite improvements vs the version that fought Seferi.

How good Fury will be when he faces Wilder is the unknown X factor. Maybe he will have recovered enough of his form to beat Wilder and shock the world again or maybe he gets exposed. I'd be much more confident of picking a Fury victory if he had put that kind of performance against a better opponent and so Wilder for me is still the favourite.

I just can't see Fury winning this, I have always felt Wilder is a bad matchup for him. Fury DOES have excellent boxing skills, Wilder however is very unorthodox and explosive. My best guess is Fury is going to do what he always does, he is going to make Wilder look outclassed and foolish for a couple of rounds, then he will clown him. He will drop his hands, or grab the ropes (as he did vs Pianetta) to illustrate how he is the superior boxer.. and Wilder will put his lights out.

Going the distance I just can't imagine at all, but if it does then of course you would have to pick Fury.

For me, Wilder vs AJ is still the biggest fight that can be made. Wilder vs Fury is still definitely a must see, but I don't think it has that 50-50 type excitement about it. With Wilder vs AJ it is pretty a foregone conclusion that it will end in a KO, with either party capable of delivering it.

That's the cherry on the cake for me. Even if he negates Wilder's threat and outboxes him for 12 rounds he has to rely on a decision going his way with a massive amount of dollars at stake for the other side if they lose Wilder's title and unbeaten record.

If the same judges who had Wilder ahead against Ortiz or who gave Canelo the first GGG fight are in Vegas that night what chance does he have?

i dont see any other fight being that way.
