I think woth Wlad he was far too robotic and would only throw when set. Wilder is alot more unpredictable and will swing alot more than Wlad did.

Unlike the original, this Tyson never was a puncher, nor did he punch his way to the lineal title. Strange that he's still being dissed for not knocking ppl. out cold, he's a mover, he's a boxer, he's a jabber, and while it's strange at HW, it's the only division where it being held against him. I don't hear the same ppl. criticizing Usyk or Lomachenko for the same thing.

Tyson Fury is like a good horse. It only jumps as high as it needs to. You can't judge him based on his performance vs Pianeta. He will beat Wilder.

Fury is very WWE, even his name, so that might pull in some of the US crowd.
But boxingwise it's not one of the biggest fights that can be made, as current Fury doesn't really look to be much of a treat to Wilder imo.

It's the 2nd best HW fight to be made after AJ-Wilder, and realistically the biggest one since AJ plays the risk/reward game. Two unbeaten fighters for the lineal title, it's big. In terms of absolute interest, it may get larger publicity than GGG-Clen II cause of the controversy and charisma involved, though much smaller PPV and ticket income.

There are better quality fights to be made for the purists (Naoya-Rungvisai, Crawford-Spence, Joshua-Usyk, Loma-Garcia), but neither of them come close to what's coming in build-up. It's gonna be a fun ride.

The Gypsy King is the true WBO, IBF, WBA and The Ring champ. Never lost any of those belts in the ring, still undefeated and still the lineal HW champ.

Wilder is the WBC champ and the longest reigning and most legitimate current belt holder in the division. Wilder beat a paper champ for his belt, just like AJ, but he's had it much longer and has a better resume at this point (Ortiz >> Inactive Old Loser Wlad). Wilder's win against the paper champ Stiverne is better than any of AJs paper title wins (Martin, Parker, Inactive Old Loser Wlad).

AJs entire reputation is built on getting lucky against the worst ever version of Voidimir Bitchko to fight for a title. A shell of a fighter whose soul was clearly in the possession of the Gypsy King at that time, as it remains to this day. A mentally obliterated joke of a HW who still had enough to embarrass and outbox AJ for 9.5 of 11 rounds. The fact Void was a ***** and let AJ off the hook is not enough reason for him to get the respect of any true boxing expert, such as myself.

When noting all the irrefutable facts above, how can anyone claim the upcoming Wilder-Fury mega-fight is anything but the greatest HW event of the past 20 years? A true international monster PPV event that the whole world will take notice of. Even if neither man ever goes on to fight AJ for his paper belt collection, Fury or Wilder will always be the greatest HW since Lennox Lewis and the first man to be a 5 belt HW champion of the world.

Now add in the fact that Fury and Wilder are the best two talkers and self-promoters in boxing compared to dumb AF AJ who can barely say his own name.

We all owe Eddie Hearn and Rob McCraken a debt of gratitude for protecting ***** AJ and forcing him to make way for the bigger and better fight.

HW history will be made in the US later this year. God bless America!

As much as is this thread is designed to push buttons, there is a reasonable premise behind it. That is, if you believe a champion can only be dethroned in the ring.

It is clear that all of Joshua's titles came to him by way of Tyson Fury being stripped of them. If we are to call Joshua the rightful holder of any of those belts, surely he must first beat Tyson Fury?

It should be noted that Joshua was never mandatory to any of Tyson Fury's titles and Fury was never stripped for refusing to fight Joshua. If he had been I would be of a different opinion on this.

It would be like a fighter beating stiverne after Wilder had dealt with him and then calling themselves the WBC champion.

If anyone from any other sports requires to understand the meaning behind the term paper champion, you just need to say AJ. For he is the very definition of the term.

Calling the best HW since Lewis “Voidimir Bitchko” and then calling yourself a “true boxing expert”... How do you expect to be taken seriously?
