Irish Heavy Con Sheehan is going pro after London I think he is 6'4 age 22 and has quick hands for a heavy not sure about his power, here he is in semi-pro WSB .

I've seen Ortiz several times. Very good skills, very loose in the ring, looks and moves like a natural boxer (although he could stand to shed about 30 pounds), good rangefinding jab, tricky southpaw style. Sort of reminds me of a bigger, fat Fres Oquendo. That said, he's also really stupid in the ring, likes to showboat a lot and isn't actually as good as he thinks he is. Plus he's like 37 or something.

 

Just throwing out a few more names of guys to watch I haven't seen mentioned yet:

Vyecheslav Glazkov (I have no idea how he hasn't been mentioned yet - he's actually quite good, possibly the best of the bunch). Like David Price, he was a 2008 bronze medalist at SHW, but the only think Price has on him is size and maybe power.

Magomed Abdulasamov - Not the best technical fighter in the world, and really slow, but carries huge power and likes to mix things up.

Assuming he can come back from his injuries, Robert Helenius still isn't a bad prospect, even if he clearly lost to Chisora.

Andy Ruiz Jr. is a light-hitting undersized fatass, but he's really quick and has good boxing skills. And while we're talking about guys like that, might as well throw Joey Dawekjo into the mix.

He's a horrible technical fighter and probably will just stay a local draw, but Mark De Mori has pretty massive power as well, and is back to fighting after a couple years of promotional problems.

Bogdan Dinu has looked really good from what little I've seen of him, but he's not nearly active enough and he needs to step up his competition before I can make a great judgment. Seems to have the size, power and quickness though, plus he's married to Miss Romania.

Kelvin Price is a former pro basketball player who has very good athleticism, but isn't being done any favors by his age or lack of a big promoter. He beat Tor Hamer, who was supposed to be the next big New York heavyweight, and who I still like about as much as the other powerful undersized guys like Boytsov.

People were high on Boytsov early in the thread, but I disagree. He used to be very good like 3 or 4 years ago. Since then, he's been constantly injured and he's become less aggressive, which was his best quality. Being undersized and injury-prone isn't a good combination.

I know he's been mentioned, but I was pretty impressed by Bryant Jennings' last couple fights.

 

Jennings is a beast! I wonder how his chin is. took some pretty good shots from byarm

boytsov sucks ,but mitchell,jennings,wilder and arreola will run the show ? You sound like a dumbass guido.

 

I really hate saying this ..... But after watching his last 2 fights he could easily be top 5 contender , i hate the bloke and wat he and mundine are doing to the sport in Aus/NZ but the bloke is a natural athlete and with a couple of more fights would give an HW in the world a tough fight exc kilts ...but he is in it for the local cash not the titles....such a shame

 

Garrett Simon. 20 years old. 6-0 w/ 5 knockouts. 6'5, fights at 200lbs. he'll probably do some more growing, so he'll eventually be a heavyweight. or if he can stay at 200lbs he can be a cw. He has great hand speed. although his opponent in this one didn't do him much good. he was 18 here.

I haven't seen any of his pro fights. As as amateur he seems to have had skill and power. As you said, it will be interesting to see him in with someone like you mentioned.

At least he is fighting often.

Perhaps after he gains a name win he will be a bit more visible.
