Berto handled everything from Collazo. Whether you think Berto lost or not, he learned a lot in that fight. Yeah, and if Torres and Urkal could give Cotto a fight, imagine waht Berto's speed would do to Cotto.

HBO also knows that Berto has faced two southpaws in a row also.

    Dumbass...

Cotto knocked both those guys out!!

Berto BARLEY won his fight with Collazo and infact lost on most peoples cards. So there's a difference.

Because he's not going to turn down a belt if the WBC tells him they've set him up for the vacant title. If Jose Suilaman calls him and says 'Andre we've arranged for you to fight Rodriguez for the vacant title' he not going to say 'Oh, that's very kind of you but I don't want the belt. I'm not ready'.

Don't hate on the guy for being given a belt, and now he's defending against good solid B level guys like Collazo & Urango who will test him, and even guys like Forbes, not great but very durable and good defensively - so again he's learning.

And your point is? Like I said he's a huge 147, he wasn't exactly dwarfed by Berto, in fact Berto is a small 147 himself so I think you can say they are pretty much a similar size.

By the way, Berto is just not that exciting of a fighter, but he ain't no clown either. He really needs time to develop. But until he does, he probably shouldn't be holding that belt.

"no longer following Berto" is a little extreme. you have to look at the opposition he is fighting. Forbes is slick as hell, Collazo is probably the toughest test for anybody (remember he gave Hatton a hell of a scare), and Urango is as strong as an ox with a good chin and a great body attack. What Berto is dong is what a lot of prospects fail to do. He is fighting the tough fights and winning.
