Who was he supposed to fight?? Mosley said he didnt want to fight him, Cotto and Clottey are fighting each other, who was Berto supposed to fight?? He just fought a top 10 WW in Collazo and then fought Urango who his way to big for 140. If Moslel doesnt fight him, who else is he supposed to fight expect for Collazo in his next fight. and whos asking for time??

Can't say I'm a fan either. There's always been something a little offputting about his personality anyway, and it bothers me that he decided to just steal Hatton's gameplan to beat Urango rather than to try his own thing. For a little while he actually was circling and popping off shots, which probably would have been just as effective as a strategy and a lot more exciting.

First off, Cotto gets hit alot and is a sucker for an uppercut, unless you dont watch boxing you would know this. Clottey has great defense and that would be a rough fight, but Bertos workrate would probably be better then Clotteys and he could have a shot. Mosley has always had trouble with boxers and Berto stays on his toes. you telling me Berto has no shot against any of those guys?? and why is that?? hes a slower then all of them?? NOOO. does he have no power?? NOOO. Hes doesnt have the expericence but somebody has to learn somehow.

Winning a belt makes you a complete fighter overnight?

No wonder the sanctioning bodies still exist. Their belts must have magical powers.

No they are just all a level above him. I would give Berto a decent shot againest Clottey tho because of styles.

No but if you hold a version of the title you should not be afforded any favours. You are no longer a prospect.

I'm riding it out with Berto until the end. I was at the fight last night and have to admit I was a bit disappointed with his performance (mainly the clinching) but he still had impressive moments. He displayed amazing hand speed as usual but he also was able to regularly slip punches and bring the fight to the middle of the ring. I also liked how he was setting up his uppercut with his lead left hook which Urango had no answer for.

Granted, he's definitely not ready for the top guys at 47 at this point in his career and under his current trainer, but fights against guys like Collazo, Cintron, Quintana, and Judah are all fair game. There was tremendous support for both Berto and Cintron last night and being that Dibella promotes both guys, it's conceivable that they meet up later this year perhaps at the same venue.

If Berto gets hit by the punches that Angulo took last night, he'd be out. I think Cintron is just a really bad matchup for the very short Berto. Cintron has KO power and he's tall and has a big reach advantage.

    Quintana might school Berto too.

Yeah I agree but that doesnt mean Berto cant win. I still think Cotto is a level better then Margarito and I still think Mosley is way better then Forrest but that dont mean **** right now. I cant wait to Berto fights another champ, if he loses, then he has to come back like Cotto and Pavilk, if he wins then everybody is gonna want to get him.

All Berto has to do now is fight Collazo in August or spetmeber then get ready for some unfication early 2010

For better or worse, these are guys at the level in which he should be fighting against. I still have my doubts about Cintron and it would be interesting to see how he would perform back at 47 against someone who won't willingly be accepting punches. Quintana would be a tough challenge but he's also promoted by Dibella and as stated before he represents the level of competition that Berto should be fighting against.

He's still a young fighter at 25 i think so why end him before he's begun. He's got natural speed just maybe boxing skills ring knowlage not up to the same level this comes with time. I dont know why people are so aggressive and degrading to these professional boxers its sport man! I think Berto vs judah would be interesting.

Tommy, Urango is a dangerous 140 pounder that Hatton outboxed. Hatton OUTBOX? I actually started to like Berto, but come on with this give him more time especially that he is holding the WBC belt. **** it, throw him in with Pac. He has speed and some power. If he were to beat Pac come this October, we will be praising him. Enough with the waiting and throw him in the water, he can swim. Maybe his level will rise if he fights someone at a higher level.
