Well immediately after the Clottey fight Dickie Wood asked him if he wanted to go to 140 so JWW I guess.

I have to imagine if Corrales was here, He'd be beating up Kermit Cintron. He was that awesome.

Chico at 140 (Assuming he wasn't drained and/or shot) would've been a welcome addition to a now buddign class.

As far as his career going, he was on the way down. His last bout with Joshua Clottey was tough to watch and I just remember having a bad feeling in regards to how his health would be. He took a bad beating that night, one among many.

I never liked the matchup. I guess Chico felt he had to go directly to 147 due to weight problems, although he was still a pound under 140 in his previous matchup with Casamayor.

It's not too often I'm disappointed with management for going with a high-risk/low-reward fight, but I just couldn't understand why his team put him in there with Clottey for his first bout at 147.

Clottey was too much for a career 135 lber. Jumping that high pretty much damaged Chico.

That said we've seen a massive amount of career resurgences lately. I think he could've done SOME damage at 140.

Corrales came to fight and was a good fighter. A good fight would have been Cotto vs. Corrales.

Corrales vs Ricardo Torres at 140 would've been outstanding.
