I thought it was an excellent performance there was some improvement and his opponent turned out to be European class which is always a bonus. Personally I think Khan could beat Campbell or Casamayor if they had a **** night but I don't reckon Warren would risk it.

Also the seventh ran well over which stopped the Dane been saved by the bell. I timed 3:11 and Vann did not call a timeout when warning Khan for hitting his opponent while down therefore the clock should have continued.

Other then that pretty irrelevant rule bending it was a good victory.

Khan put on an impressive performance. His certainly a talented kid and the best domestic talent at 35 in this country. My only fear is he seems to be buying into his own hype and hoopla. And now that his already a millionaire im sure his loosing the hunger.

Id like to see him against a fighter that can punch back like Romanov. Romanov would take him into the trenches and certainly has the power to command Khans respect.

His stoppage was Joe Calzaghe-esque though with those flurrys. Id prefer if his work was cleaner, but at the end of the day his on the way up and his next fights will be VERY tough. His either got Nate or Casamayor both who are solid veterans. Is Khan ready for either man yet? Honestly i dont believe so. Lets see him against a a guy like Romanov and then well truly know if Khan has the complete tools to go all the way.

I've just watched a replay, and I believe Vann did in fact call a time out, although he seemed to forget to call it back in again.

Mere opinion. Such things are fairly subjective and in the eyes of the beholder. Feel free to remind me of people who Thaxton has blasted out who I should have been more impressed by.

i thought khan boxed well against his hardest opposition yet. he had good lateral movement hit fast and hard. he was open to the odd counter but when he was hit took them well. i honestly could see him beating nate campbell in 6-12 months time

Plausible as Nate and Casamayor are getting on. But BOTH can punch espcially Nate. Khan is very easy to hit with the over hand right as he carries his left low and retreats back in a straight line without moving laterally or moving his head. If he takes an over hand right from Campbell his going to sleep.

Paul Ryan (one punch Ko), Mark Elliot (one punch ko), Paul Burke (three time commonwealth champion), Scott Lawton, Dave Stewart, One round smoking of Carl Allen, various other stoppages usually from a single well timed hook from either hand. 9 stoppages in his last 12 wins only extended by Silence Saheed (massively durable), Lee Meager (whom he nearly stopped) and Miranda who ran like a thief. People who have actually watched his career develop know that one thing he can do is hit.

he went down in my estamations, i was expecting him to make quick work of the dannish fella possibly a KO for a change, and i also noticed he smuthers(some thing which you pointed out)his work alot espicially in the 7th when he had the dane on the back foot it was way too ammaturish,he was getting complacent too much he thought he could get martin out early
I think khan needs to plant his feet more his power isnt all there he rellies on handspeed and del la hoya style flurries
and this wont work if he moves up to 140.
    p.s.
no way does sports network need to put khan in with romanov, he needs a tune up fight with some one who has reasonable power perhaps jon murray, if he steps in with romanov i can invision ramanov KO'ing amir in the similar fashion to how Nwodo got his arse handed to him by darnell wilson my 50 pence

I saw the clock with about 14 or 15 secs left. I was thinking all he's got to do is cover up and he'll survive, but the round just seemed to go on and on.

Vann did call a time out, whilst warning Khan for the illegal shot.
