Fair play to green he never really acheived much in his career so at least he gets to bask in a name for a bit. He did seem like an odd choice for Roy , Green maybe limited but he was alwasy one strong MF , oh well
This is why both of those megalomaniacs should've rematched years ago. I still think Jones Jr. vs Hopkins II [lol, it should be Hopkins vs Jones II now] can happen. It's sort of like Mayweather vs Judah after Zab lost to Baldomir, just way worse lol. Jones will think he's still got something left; he'll still view a win over Hopkins as a means of redemption. Hopkins will still want to avenge the loss & make the money. Most importantly, I still think fans will pay to see the fight.
Put it all on Hopkins, boys! There ain't no one left gunning for us. Oh, I can't forget Sugar Shane. He's still got our backs!
Danny Green is a KO artist, he was always going to be a bad match up for Jones. He bashed him with ease. Green looked sharp, before the KO, Roys speed wasnt really bothering Green, he was beating Roy to the jab. One thing about Green, he never ducks a soul, so if there is a fight thrown up in the US, he will be there, he has yet to of been KO.
Bernard was probably fighting Roy because he knows Roy needs money and he knew it was easy money for him. He won't have to waste time on it now. Can fight Dawson. His chin might be a bit shaky as well. Or fight Haye!
this is just getting sad now roy is destroying his legacy hopefully he hangs up the gloves ive seen this with to many fighters who stay on to long
Okay, roy threw a couple of sharp jabs. The commentator screamed "Look at that Cobra right hand" Then they circled around the ring for a bit feeling each other out. Green jabs to the body, roy jones smiles and backs up to the ropes. Then boom, shoulder shot that partially hits his temple, roy drops like a brick in water. He covers up, crowd screams, tries to hold, green pushes him off, green catches him with a straight punch, roy covers up again clearly hurt, the ref stops it. It went something like that
Jesus, I'm speechless. You're all right - Roy should retire, but I've got a feeling he won't. He's not gonna retire and let someone, in this case Green', have the right to say 'I Retired RJJ' He'll still look for the Hopkins fight, lord knows why
