Did i say that Cottos backfoot game is better the PBF? hell no PBF has mastered that. Watch the Cotto-Mosley fight. Cotto CAN fight on the backfoot.

Yeah his chin is not the best we have established that.

His jab won him the Mosley fight. He landed it many times and yes Cotto is a very accurate puncher. (Again not as good as PBF who is probably one of the most accurate punchers there is)

 

Clottey has a shot to beat Cotto.

If he found landing a body punch on AM(who's defense SUCKS) almost impossible, how the hell is he gonna land a body punch on a defensive genius like PBF?

We already agreed on his chin.

His jab is good because he uses it alot in some fights, not because he's very accurate when he throws it.

 

The AM fight i think it was more due to Cottos stubborness. He didnt go to the body because he didnt want to which was pretty stupid.

Chin yeah checked.

He does use it alot. He is pretty accurate. He doesnt waste/miss punches as others do.

 

He didn't want to go to the body, you're right. Even though before and after the fight he stated his gameplan was to attack the body and break his opponent down. Even though he said "he tried to attack the body." But you're right, he didn't want to attack the body.

He does throw it a good amount sometimes. The only fight where he actually made me believe his jab was good was against Mosley, that was only one fight which was a year and a half ago, that $hit holds little weight now.

 

Well he knocked Alfonso Gomez down with a Jab.
But of course Gomez was a can but he did use it a lot against him. He used it with AM as well. Many times he unleashed combos on AMs head which he set up with the jab. The jennings fight.....well it was jennings.(which cotto went to body against him but its jennings so he dont count)

We'll have to see against Clottey. Maybe the body punching and the jab will show and you can see that its not overrated and its actually pretty good.

As for Floyd i give Floyd the edge but i still think stylistically between Mosley,Cotto and AM (PW dont count he is a JMW) Cotto gives him his toughest fight. I love watching Floyd fight and Cotto is one of my favs thats why this is the fight i have been waiting for a while.

 

Well, being that you didn't argue any of my points and you seemed to have realized what I was saying, I guess its fair to say that I have taught you very well. But yes this fight between PBF & Cotto would've been big in summer 2008.

 

Taught me well....i dont know but all that, i already knew where you were coming from. I recognize faults as well as strengths and i know Cotto has a few holes but Cotto is in no way overrated. And SKILLWISE Cotto is a level above Clottey. But Clottey strengths is what will make the fight close.
