K-1 is the better card for sure. Slamm has the Thaiboxers vs Dutch under Full Thai Rules, but really thats only 4 fights. K-1 has more good fights than that. Even still Slamm is definitely worth watching.
I cornered a couple of my friends at the weekend on a K1 card. Both of them were making their K1 debut's. Let me know what you think of the fights. I'm the one in the black Jaco T and 3/4 shorts if you're wondering. K1 Debuts K1 isnt in the UK, maybe K1 rules is what you meant....no way would these guys get in the real K1...novices you can tell. Only ever had one UK K1 (official) and Matt Skelton (the boxer) won it
Yes. They were K1 rules fights. One is a novice at K1 but one has had quite a few MMA and Muay Thai fights. No need to hate. Lynchburg
Guys, in light of the questionable status of K1 going forward and the shift to more general kickboxing talk - I went to edit the thread title to be "The official K1 & kickboxing thread" but ran into a little SNAFU. I guess vBulletin has a default expiration date on thread authors editing their own titles. This setting can be changed from the default date or even disabled altogether by the mods/admins of each particular forum. Let your voice be heard! Tell the higher-ups at ESB that older threads shouldn't be subject to some arbitrary time limit and should be just as flexible as new threads to accommodate topical shifts (or whatever other reason a title might change). http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=403797
I dont know, we have a muaythai/ kickboxing thread a K-1 thread seems like a good idea. Why no post IB? You are still a k-1 fan right?
Sorry not hating, but if you read your post you said 'making their K1 debuts', implying they was fighting on a K1 card. Big difference between a K1 show and a K1 rules show (without sounding like im being a dick.) Apoligies
Turns out we're in a K1 deja vu, fighters not getting paid etc. :-( On the last K-1 event Rising in Madrid it seems only Hari and CroCop got paid as they were the only fighters who agreed getting paid in advance, the rest of the guys still haven't been paid. With Glory buying out It's Showtime and accumilating most of the biggest names in Kickboxing under one roof, things ain't looking good for the new version of K-1 with all future plans being called into doubt according to the rumours.
