Glory missing a golden opportunity not hosting events during Covid. That could jolt so much needed life and interest into kickboxing. Looks like that all falls on One to take advantage of that. Bit they don't specialize in kickboxing like Glory does.

 

So what the hell happened to Andy Ristie? The next big thing in Kickboxing after knocking out Giorgio Petrosayan and removing his undefeated streak?

 

Got knocked out himself in his following fight before fading into obscurity. lost again last year. Petrosayan II would be cool even if not that relevant. Revenge matches in kickboxing tend to happen long past when they actually had merit.

Agreed, I get a hard on when Thai fighters kick people in the face after their ceremonial dance.

Forgot what a beast Mike Bernardo was when he first burst on the scene. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have fought that guy. He just oozed menace,

 

Possibly the greatest yet most understated Thai fighter outside Thailand who really set the pace and laid the ground work in the west for MTs influence in the coming new sport of MMA.... always punched above his weight and gave better than he got. That was a great tour of Europe and the US... Sobat Sor.Thanikul RIP was on that tour. I think we can thank Klaew Thanikul for the idea and bringing a show case of the real McCoy to the west in an age of shin pads, shiny trousers and failed boxers.

Heads up for all kickboxing fans. Glory with about as good of a K-1 styled card as you'll see these days. 3 title fights and a HW tournament with Rico involved. This Saturday in The Netherlands.
