I picked Ward originally but tbh I am so undecided on this fight that I can't pick either guy in good faith. Both so talented, skillful and have what it takes to beat the other guy. Best fight in a long time. Two potential atgs going h2h.

 

Just depends on Ward,in his last four fights he's actually come to box as appose to stinking the joint out and getting a decision,I've no problem with clinching and fighting on the inside as long as the judge let's it play out as its a forgotten way of fighting nowadays it would seem?

I'm not sure Ward can hurt Kovalev so in my mind it's down to wether Kovalev can close Ward down and cut the ring off,if Kovalev lands like we know he can then I'm afraid just like everyone else he'll go down,that said after seeing Kovalev highlights I never seen one guy try and clinch when under pressure.

He's a hard guy to beat with tricks.galore. makes it very awkward. Does a Hopkins style spoiler win on points

 

I have a feeling we have a a controversial decision in our hands. Kovalev won´t drop Ward and Ward won´t outbox Kovalev. Kovalev will jab Ward all night long and Ward will have some success in spurts and inside fighting without real effect.

After the fight extremist will have an ugly war at ESB.

 

Ward by UD 55%, Ward by KO 5%, Kovalev by UD 20%, Kovalev by KO 20%.

Ward SD for me, can see him frustrating the hell out of Kovalev but I do think Ward will hit the canvas as some point.

Rooting for Kovalev as I like a fighter who is willing to fight.

 

I have less experience watching Kovalev, but I feel he brings the same plan to every fight. It works. He doesn't change it. I like Kovalev, but don't think he's been challenged.

Ward, on the other hand, is a fighter whom I thought might lose a couple of times going into particular fights. Then he surprised me and tore those opponents up.

I feel this goes badly for Kovalev like it did Kessler, Froch, and others.

More than anything, I hope we all can agree upon the scoring. Here's to a great fight.

Ward by comfortable UD or late stoppage. The TOMATO KAN Krusher crowd is in love with Kovalev's power but go out of their way to ignore that which is painfully obvious. Punching power means *nothing* if you can't find the target - and Ward has the best defense in the game. So what's Kovalev gonna do when he can't land his money punch? Outbox Ward? Not likely...
