Bisbal looked to be a better boxer than Abdusalamov but the fact is, Abdusalamov has KOed all his professional opponents and some of them appeared to look better him too. At least Bisbal was there to fight instead of go through the motions or be a sparring partner. Mago's face was bruised up quite a bit and he took some thumping punches to his ribs but Mago did what Mago does; come forward and throw some hard punches until the opponent is laying on the canvas with cartoon birdies circling his head. If Mago has a rock solid jaw he could actually be something. He would make an interesting opponent for David Price. Price whitewashed him for a points win in the Olympics, so yeah, Price can outbox him and Price if Price beats Mago in the pros, especially now, Price can say he beat a KO artist so the chin can't be that bad. Whereas, Mago would have a few more rounds to land a bomb this time around and redeem his Olympic performance.
Price crumbled from a single glancing R hook from Tony Thompson......... Without the headgear, Mago KOs him inside the first 30 seconds. Mago took thunderous shots from Bisbal and McCline, and was dropped by the 275lb McCline, but not so much as shaken by either. He walks Price down and KHTFO.:deal
I think the Mago experiment is done. He isn't gonna win a title. He's a strong person but nothing more. He could get KO'd by Mike Mollo. He would get beaten by Vinny Maddalon,Adamek,Povetkin,Wilder,Jennings etc Fun to watch but not much skill.
what's with this big enough BS? His size is the last thing that you need to worry about. Size makes no difference. If this guy had boxing ability with that power he would be a G. He's bigger than Eddie Chambers right? It's not his size that's the problem. Any man at 201 pounds and at least 5'9" can get the job done. It's the skill thing though. His defense is zero. His speed is average. His chin is shaky.
Can´t understand this shaky chin talk. Getting dropped by a 260 pound heavy can happen to anyone. McCline dropped Peter, Arreola, Byrd early in fights. Does that mean they all have shaky chins ? Mago has weak defence, but he for sure can take a punch, he´s getting hit on the chin cleanly in every fight, still he´s not stop marching forward and he reacts calm and focussed. Guy is mentally a beast. Would be much more interesting to see someone like him in there with Wlad.
True dat. Mago's chin must be titanium-reinforced granite, or he would have disappeared from the scene years ago. But... well ... so what? He's done.
People just like to complain and find fault. Everyone bitches about boring heavyweights, now they get an exciting one and guess what, they complain. Like the dumbass above who claims Vinny Maddalone would beat Mago. Perhaps Mago will give them a few highly entertaing fights along the way before he inevitable falls short of their expectations.
For someone who claims to be "done" with Mago, you still comment on him, repeating yourself over and over. Par for your irrevocable posting style.
The WBC regional belt holders are Charr, Abdusalomov, Luis Ortiz, Wawrzyk. That would be an awesome little tournament and exactly what these guys need to take that last step. Hope it happens. Charr vs Mago would be ****ing great.
This guy is a beast. I want to see Jennings get real and not talk about that 'he's below me' crap and fight him. These 0's got to go
3-4 times today, since he just fought yesterday, and I'm still a bit upset at just how bad he looked. Hope that's OK with you?
