The Official Mayweather - JMM Round by Round Thread

I favored Pacquiao winning if he ever fought a 32 year old Floyd but after watching him dominate Marquez who gave Pac the most trouble, I can't see Pacquiao winning over Floyd unless he dramatically improves his technical boxing skills.

I know a lot of fans will say Floyd's domination over Marquez isn't surprising considering the weight and size difference, but I thought skill wise, Marquez would actually do better than Oscar and Hatton in giving Floyd a challenge. Floyd's left hooks were impressive as hell tonight especially against a intellectual fighter like Marquez who would know to keep his right gaurd up. His defense was still intact and speed unbelieveably fast for his hiatus and weight.

I didn't like how Marquez agreed to the weight contract in the first place. That was a bad part on Marquez's manager and Nacho. That's a giant leap in weight maximized by atleast 3 times considering he is fighting Floyd, an undefeated, bigger, and quicker fighter. Listening to Nacho's corner during the fight, I demote Nacho's ability to train boxers to the level he used to. He should've gave Marquez his undivided attention and focus on Marquez and Marquez only.

After this fight, I see no point in Pacquiao vs Marquez III. Floyd got the W and took Marquez's warrior heart along with it. I would like to see my favorite Mexican boxer retire. He showed tremendous amount of effort tonight while making a lot of money. He doesn't need to prove anything else to his loyal fans.

Floyd will probably go on to fight Mosley whom he will beat decisively. I hope Pac wins over Cotto so Floyd vs Pac.

With an undefeated record, victory over #2 Marquez in such fashion, and overall skill displayed tonight, I give Floyd his title of pd 4 pd back. As much as I like Pac, the pressure is on him now.

 

impressive as the mayweather win as it is but he did not KO him so lets wait until floyd fight pac then the p4p kingship should be remain to pacman...
