People will go back through the rankings and see that it wasn't until Floyd retired in 2008 that anyone ranked Pacquiao over him at any moment in time. Then they will compare what each did from 2008-onward and it is a no competition in favor of Floyd. Either way, both will represent the era and be ranked highly as undeniable ATG's, each doing great things unmatched.

I think the overwhelming majority of boxing fans will tell you that the Barrera and Cotto wins are better than any FMJ wins.

Fanboys. Not boxing fans. People who actually can spot out details know Cotto was damaged goods and Barrera already been through wars.

You ignorant fool. Floyd fought and struggled with an even older Cotto after Pacquiao destroyed him.

How did you miss THAT detail? Or did you idiotically buy into Floyd's rhetoric about Cotto being undefeated?

Big fan of the warped logic which states Pac can add to his legacy post-Mayweather, but not have the Mayweather fight reflect upon his legacy, I must say.

Manny was swinging 2 feet over his head, Floyd was love tapping him all night.

I’ll never knock Floyds career but no doubt the little master has the resumes of all resumes with so many noted killers and greats on his record it’s scary.Im specifically thinking of all those Mexican greats he fought, some that Floyd could of and probably should of have faced himself.

Not so sure about that, even Kellerman has said he has PACs career over Floyds, not saying I agree with this as imo they were both brilliant and should of given us that fight many years before when we got it.
If it’s that zero column that turns you on then obviously Floyd Mayweather is you’re man, lucky that prior to Floyd We never judged careers on being unbeaten and looked into who guys fought and if said guys were in their pomp and so forth.

Floyd Mayweather will be forever known as a brilliant boxing brain and technical, defensive wizard who played by his own rules and won.
Manny Pac will be remembered for his meteoric rise through the divisions and for a time the baddest man around who took on anyone, anywhere and on account of him being so aggressive and not being afraid to lose, took some losses along the way and imo it’s only those Floyd fanatics who for some reason can’t bring themselves to appreciate this as that Zero matters so much right?

    It’s hard to say really.

H2H, prime Floyd should be the favourite over any version of Pac - he was bigger and longer and a great big guy should beat a great little guy (I don’t care about the fact they were both ostensibly welters when they finally met - everyone knows deep down that pac ate his way to WW from fly and Floyd was always the bigger man)

But resume wise, pac is light years ahead of Floyd. He took a couple of L’s against ATG’s and he avenged them. His resume is sick - he fought a who’s who of boxers in and around his weight division and did it many times well above his comfort zone.

Floyd had an ATG career too, but didn’t fight everyone that he should’ve realistically speaking - and when he did he frequently went in as the favourite but also had all the advantages in his favour too.

Ultimately, I say Mayweather is the H2H favourite over any version of pac/May - but pac has easily the best resume and substantially more kudos for his achievements and approach/attitude towards challenging himself. The 8 weight division thing is a huge factor and I would be surprised to see that record broken - especially with the depth of the divisions pac competed in.
