The right hand counter had Manny hesitant..and even scared to jump in like he does against all his other opponent's. In the first round Floyd got him twice with the right hand counter and Pac was tamed early. He never went all out after that

He apparently done a ban bet for this fight, or so he claimed when I asked why he voted for Floyd and put 0 vcash on Manny to win.

I think if Pacman had not been injured the result would have been no different.

The biggest issue for Pacman was the fact he gave away the first three rounds and after that he only applied effective aggression for 2-3 rounds of the 12 total rounds.

I think you could however argue that had this fight been made 5 years ago when Manny was quicker and had a better level of stamina, that there would have been a different result. Floyd was clever though, he knew not to fight Manny 5 years ago he waited until Manny got old.

If I recall, Floyd Sr also predicted a KO prior the fight in one of his media interviews. (please someone confirm this)

I don't specifically remember Roach predicting a KO, but if he did, we would have to know when he said that and if Pac was truly injured when he said that. I didn't follow the build up that closely, so anyone who remembers these details please confirm.

Many times it's a way for trainers to hype a fight. I don't think either fighter made such a bold prediction.

It's like Hop, Jones all over again.

Albeit Floyd would be favorite back then, he has Manny's number, he did wait it out though regardless.
