I agree to some extent. I feel I was watching the first round of a usual Mayweather fight for 12 rounds, as if they kept trying to figure out each other without ever starting to actually fight. We know for fact that May is able to provide more entertaining boxing than what he showed yesterday. If Rigondeaux is being criticised for always picking the zero risk option, it is reasonable to expect some more action from Mayweather too.

Having said that, precisely his decision to go for the sufficient minimum demonstrates his respect for Pac.

I felt like Mayweather showed 30-40% of what he is capable of (or he used to be capable of), while Pacquiao only 20-25 %.

How great this fight would have been 6 years ago. :(

The only people who felt nothing are those who hoped for/expected a more dramatic fight. People have built up Manny so much over the years, the ease with which Floyd dispatched him almost seems 'wrong' I suppose. Those who actually watch boxing and understand the science probably enjoyed the chess match and saw a very good fight, though one-sided. What people may eventually ponder is how good is Floyd to have completely and so easily neutralized Pacquiao like that?

It's not the fight game only cause PAC didn't win! The box game is followed by poor losers who think boxing resemble a rocky movie!

Having worked on construction sites "safety first" is a big deal and just might save your life. The work still got done. An astronaut who refuses to go into space ceases to be an astronaut. The fact that an athlete even stepped into the ring on the professional level is a disregard for their own safety.

So you think that a grown man skipping around, hugging and pillow fighting makes his opponent look weak? You are obviously a hopeless case.

A fighter refuses to fight ceases to be a fighter as well, hence the dislike on Floyd.

Pac was there to cash in his paycheck. Didn't even try to fight, then comes with excuses postfight. Gatti at least came to take his beating like a man, not just pick up his check.

If Pac actually tried, I think he would have gotten a check hook into the corner post like Hatton. He was so predictable going into the corners. Floyd used the same move over and over and over to escape. Pac had no clue what to do. NONE.

You're right. Floyd did the fighting. Pac clinched and ran all night.

Punch stats don't show Pac as being the one fighting, he was out thrown and out landed in jabs and power punches, so what is your point

yup, he did not deliver his promised ko. he was way bigger and still was very defensive considering his advantages. he just controlled pac who fought too cautious. can't blame the fans for expecting some action considering also the amount of prize money they will receive.

Last night, Floyd made the #2 P4P fighter in the world look ordinary.

    That's pretty impressive.

What happened to "eating that Mayweather right hand to land his own shots?" I thought Pac was going to go out on his shield man, like a warrior and never stop coming? What happened? :rofl

Reality: Easy for fans to cash checks with Manny's chin. You're not taking the punches. :deal
