Where did I say PAC said he would KO Mayweather? I said his team. And yes "you" is still his team.

    I'm waiting.

Pac's shoulder is not what caused him to lose. It was failing to figure out how to find range and close the distance that lost him the fight. No shoulder injury caused that. Jones beat Hopkins with a broken hand years ago. Injuries are part of the game. Accept defeat gracefully and move on.

even roach said that they would try to win every round and if the ko comes it comes

roach who you could say was the most vocal said he was not sure they could get the ko

Yeah, its amazing how primordial the reaction to Mayweather is. Everyone on my FB page and twitter was bashing him but not Manny. Even people who rarely watch boxing or even experienced fans despise his style. It's just boring AF

I don’t get this train of thought at all with Maywather. I’m not his biggest fan but its easy to recognise that he fought an intelligent fight against a dangerous swarmer. What is he expected to do? Plus Pac played it safe as well, if he kept on the attack this would have forced more of a response from Maywether, but he couldn't do it. Mayweather has shown that when attacked and hurt he will come back at you. The fight wasn't great but they both played it pretty safe, the hype of this fight definitely effected them.

The "Fight of the Century" is only ruined if you had unrealistic expectations.

In the build up to the fight it was being billed as the richest fight ever between the two premier boxers of our time. This is true, however, with the usual spin promoters and TV networks put on these big fights to sell to non-hardcore boxing fans, the nuances and subplots of the whole May/Pac situation was air brushed over

For any one that follows the sport religiously, like I imagine most of us on here do, we all knew that this was still a relevant fight, but a fight that should have happened 5 years ago.

In reality it was a fight between two top, but faded, fighters of our time. Mayweather's speed, reflexes and engine may be slightly diminished, but it is such an almost imperceptible amount that it really doesn't have much bearing on his fights. He is still overwhelmingly dominant. Pacquiao on the other hand, his talents, and especially the ones that would be needed most to beat Mayweather, well they have decreased by very noticeable amounts.

Due to Pacquiao's diminished ability to constantly pressure his opponents (his only real chance of beating Floyd would be to use this tactic), this was always going to be a Mayweather type of fight; slow paced, largely at distance and a decreased output from his opponent relative to their previous fights.

People say Floyd is boring and rarely throws punchers. Well he is a counter puncher. What do you expect? The more punchers fighters throw at Floyd the more punchers he himself will throw.

So really the fight is only a let down if you bought in to the hype. Non-hardcore fans can be forgiven for this as they may not fully understand the duplicitous nature of boxing promotion and they may not know the style of the two fighters. Hardcore fans buying into the hype...

I wish Pac team didn't go down this route, nothing good can come of it, its pointless to make an excuse. I could understand it if Pac lost terribly, they would need a reason to explain it. But this wasn't that type of loss, you could clearly see he just ran out of ideas.
