The fight bombed with the public. Twitter radio social media all are complaining about how bad the fight was because Floyd didn't make it a fight

it's easy, put Canelo in ring with Pacquiao, you get an exciting fight. Now bring Floyd into the equation, snooze fest central. Floyd vs Canelo was a snooze fest and Floyd vs Pac was somewhat of a snoozefest.

People blame Pac for not being more aggressive but here's the deal. Pacquiao was chasing Floyd down ALL fight and the one taking the risks. We all would've wanted Pac to take more risks but what about Floyd? he won by basically running and throwing soft jabs, which hit Pac with the force of a fly.

This fight should've never been scored more than 116-112 or 115-113 for Floyd. He won rounds by DOING NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Why do judges award Floyd rounds when he does nothing but land extremely soft jabs and runs for 3 minutes non-stop? It blows my mind. In the past judges used to be harder on these types of fighters but they give Floyd a pass. Remember when DLH took some of the last rounds off and ran vs Trinidad? judges made him pay. Whittaker was apparently robbed vs chavez but he was, by all accounts, similar to Mayweather and i bet judges gave Chavez rounds for trying to make the fight.

For all f l o mos out theore, re-watch this fight carefully. What did your guy do to deserve the win? run? land more very soft jabs? How many times did he land big shots? 3 times MAX? and shots that didn't even hurt Pacquiao. JMM was able to hit Pac A TON more times than Floyd did, in any of the 4 fights. The difference is, JMM fought, he didn't run. Floyd won at least 3-4 rounds which are questionable. He clearly won 4-5 rounds max, the rest were very questionable. Judges need to STOP giving Mayweather rounds when he does nothing, he should lose them every time. They should not let his dancing play any role in scoring.

All this talk about Floyd being bigger, stronger and his claims of a fight that was gong to be action packed; what do we get? The bigger man RUNNING for 12 rounds, landing at most 3 good shots and his opponent apparently getting 'outclassed' just because he had to chase a runner for 12 rounds and because he wasn't willing to take bigger risks. By far the best moment of the fight was round 4, when Pac took control after landing left. The rest, i can't even remember, that's what Floyd Mayweather does to boxing. The master of inactivity yet master of winning rounds, without doing anything.

Repeat of Floyd vs Oscar. Overly hyped boxing matches rarely deliver in this generation.

floyd had all the advantages and did not deliver. he did not go for the ko he promised nor dominate pac but fought cautiously. even when he sensed pac is not using the right arm due to injury. he was just content on hitting the arm and just score points. we only look at floyd's opponents but fail to criticize his performance being the sports p4p #1.

If we look at the recent history of the sport, the retreater gets overrated. If we look at Alvarez Vs Lara, considered a robbery, reality it was a close fight. If we look at Pacquiao Vs Marquez III(or all of them), it's considered a robbery, reality is it was a close fight.

The Pacquiao Vs Marquez III is what i really want to talk about. It is/was considered a horrible decision, why is that? My take is that unless the aggressor does atleast twice as much as the retreater i.e hurt him or knock him down, the boxer, always gets the benefit of the doubt, in the fans eyes. Rarely do fans seem to just watch for the amount punches landed and their quality. Luckily the judges do, most of the time. Considering the wide scorecards in the second Maidana fight, and the Pacquiao fight, it's safe to assume when judging Mayweather, the judges give the retreater the benefit of the doubt, like alot of the fans do. When actually judging the benefit of the doubt is supossed to go to the aggressor as he is the one taking more risks to make the fight.

If we look at Pacquiao Vs Maywether, it's was alot like Pacquiao Vs Marquez III, with the roles reversed, whereas in Marquez III, Pacquiao was landing the smaller, peppering punches, Vs Mayweather, Pacquiao was landing the bombs with the bonus of hurting Floyd on numerous occassions(I counted 3)

What do you guys think? Leaving everything else equal(punches thrown, landed) How many more rounds would Pacquiao have been awarded, if he was the one of retreating while landing the punches he landed and Floyd chasing peppering, unable to land anything nearly as effective?

it's the boxing commission that should be forced to make this rematch and make sure the fight will happen on an even playing field just to save the sport and a true boxing fight of the century.

I was suprised at how easily he hurt Floyd, with shots that weren't even hard. Maybe it's the reyes that Floyd doesn't usually deal with, exposed his chin a bit, but this just made me admire Timothy Bradley's chin alot more.

Scoring system has been the same for the longest period, nobody complains except when Mayweather fights, they just want him to lose because he's too good.

Has he become delusional or just incompetent?

Years to think about how to fight Mayweather and months to implement a plan and this is what he conjured up.
