I heard and read they are already giving away tickets for Khan Algieri, Just giving them away.

Khan brings nothing to the table for a Mayweather fight.

I respect Holyfield's opinion but I thought Pacquiao only won 3 rounds when I was watching it live.

The clear rounds were 4 and 6 for Pacquiao, and round 11 for Mayweather.

Thing is, in the close rounds, Mayweather seemed to just shade most of them.

Evander: Why was Pacquiao trying to counter-punch the counter puncher? That's not just a losing strategy, that's accepting the loss/giving up. I would like anybody to say they thought "land 1 left hand, then flurry" was a winning strategy?

Sorry, Pac was gun shy and was unwilling to pay the price of admission to make a fight of it. (Floyd landing hard counter punches) Hatton and Maidana forced Floyd to fight, but ate some hard shots in the process. Manny wasn't willing to do so, and was content with Floyd winning.

Floyd did what Floyd does. Manny was supposed to "force the issue" remember guys? Do we really need to bump the 189578357 posts about how Manny was unstoppable and Floyd wouldn't be able to neutralize him? Exposed. Just another fighter landing 19% on Mayweather. Where was that reckless aggression Manny was going to display? Less than 40 punches per round. Completely tamed.

I almost didn't give Floyd round 12, but I felt like he did just enough to barely edge that round. I did not give him round 12 in Maidana II, Canelo, and Guerrero. I gave Pacquiao rounds 4, 6, and 7.

Khan would've been knocked out by Floyd's clinches.

Mayweather certainly didn't "school" or "dominate" Pacquiao at all, he didn't give him any sort of "beating" ... so I can see how people are disputing the decision.

I thought he shaded those close uneventful rounds. I think Pacquiao should have pressed him more, but I don't think he has it any more.

This guy explains it better than I could, and he also talks about other fights where Floyd was outboxed but got the decision, and explains why this happens with Floyd:

That's probably true, but I think Mayweather has the skill to do that. Stall the action down to almost a halt, and then just shade the round by a punch or two.
It's a sh!tty way to fight, in fact it's hardly fighting, but I see it takes skill.

There has never been a boxer who has been able to surmount the 'pinnacle' of the sport, to use Floyd's words, using the same running tactics. Pernell Whittaker, who wasn't at the very top in the same way as Floyd has been for a while, came close to this sort of style but it was not simply not marketable.

The businessman Al Haymon has created a character people NEED to see lose. Floyd is quick, skillful and evasive- no doubt he is all those things. But if he didn't have everyone in his pocket- commissions, referees, networks, media personalities etc., courtesy of Al Haymon, there is no way he would be at the pinnacle.

What strikes me as fascinating is how he has revolutionised what people are prepared to call good boxing. People are happy to defend him and his spoiler tactics. The Sky broadcast, which I watched live, and the HBO one, which I saw later, were both so pro-Mayweather it was shocking. To go against the establishment in boxing, it would seem, is to put a target on your back.

"Go against the status quo, and for that matter who is the embodiment of it- Floyd Money May- is to say your not 'with' boxing"

If that's all he had to do to win the round, that's Manny's fault for not pushing him to do more. As the rounds were piling up in the bank for Floyd, he was less likely to take risks. Manny never went for it. Disappointing.

Floyd did what Floyd does: snipe from the outside while staying defensively responsible. Manny never forced him to change the plan. That's on Manny, not Floyd. And I don't buy into that Manny isn't good enough to force the issue. He was unwilling to pay the price of admission to do so. (Take punches)

Manny was trying to "out counter punch the counter puncher." If that's not accepting defeat, I don't know what is.
