he knows there is a good chance he will lose, this explains his very subdued, polite and almost spiritual metamorphosis.

when he's confident, he trash talks and doesn't care about his image because he is backing it up. For this fight, he really isn't sure if he will be able to back up any trash talk. Losing after trash talking and acting like a villain is worse than losing after acting nice and respectful. He is just acting appropriately for someone coming to terms with the high probability of a loss, he's practicing being humble before the humbling experience on May 2nd.

he's always been focused, this humbleness has more to it. He is preparing himself for a humbling experience.

In all seriousness, i truly do believe floyd's doubts are playing a part in the manner in which he is acting. Of course he's focused but there is more to it. He knows that if he acts like a d_ck and trash talks pre-fight, he will look that much worse if he loses. He will get much more respect if he acts humble before the fight. He's partially hedging the pain of a loss, IMO.. When Floyd trash talks, he is confident, when he's quiet like this, he's nervous. For the first time in his career, he he is not sure that he can back up the trash talk..

He was all quiet and being nice and respectful leading up to the Cotto fight. Didn't stop him from winning. Why is now all of a sudden so different?

What you need to understand is that this fight signals the end of his career. It's out of sync with what he had planned. It should have been his last fight but circumstances and conditions wouldn't allow that. When you come to end of a very successful and rewarding career you will tend to be more reflective. It's what the fight represents rather than who's he fighting because he knows what to do to be successful in that square circle. Pac will be his crowning glory and he fully intends to dismantle his country ass. His last fight will be insignificant as to the opponent but will probably be his most dangerous in terms of him not being focused. Pac can laugh, and crack jokes all he wants but his ass is gonna get tore up.

I think this thread is pretty funny trolling.

Floyd is 38 and he's up against a very good boxer in Manny. Of course he'd be focused. He'll win in any case.

Whew! Thank you sir... It's a shame that one has to wade thru all of the CR@P just to get thru some good dialogue amongst posters. Great post bro! Fair and solid points.
