Yeah, I hate Floyd, but some pac****s are almost as bad as *****s and give him a bad name. The fight was super ****ing boring and complete trash but Floyd won fair and square. There should be no *****ing and moaning about Vada or any other kind of ****. The only thing that is a pity is this the fight should've happened years ago, and yes, a good chunk of that is Floyd's fault. I will always **** on him for that, but I always felt he'd even win even 5 years ago if it came down to it.

After it's all said and done, will Floyd look back at his career and regret how he changed his style after he moved up to welter? He became a much, much more defensive fighter. Remember how he stunk out the joint vs. Baldomir?

I bring this up because after this recent debacle, Floyd almost seems genuinely puzzled and maybe even hurt that people hate him more than ever and that the crowd was booing him as he stood on the ropes after the win. Is it worth it to be the villain?

Sure, he won, but, he didn't win the crowd. Should he have done more? Could he have done more? His father was imploring him to do more, yet, he didn't.

Floyd has basically turned into a one shot pot shot artist. That's what he does. It's not exciting. He took way more calculated risks when he was @ 130 and he was more exciting to watch and he didn't get hit much even back then. Maybe he just doesn't want to exert as much effort and thus is content to lay back in his shell defense at times and look for a counter and then spin out.

I just wonder if he'll regret it after he retires. He sacrificed fan fare for what he believed was saving his health. He's looked at largely by a lot of people as a woman beater who puts on boring fights. You think those 5 million plus who purchased the PPV remember his fights @ 130 lbs.? No way in hell. They couldn't care less.

His legacy is pretty tarnished from a general perspective, and he certainly didn't do himself any favors with that stinker of a performance against Manny.

I doubt it. I bet every other boxer in history would follow his footsteps if they could make the same money.

Don't think so since he's considerd one of the greats now. Now when you talk about Floyd it's really no point in comparing him against this era to measure his greatness.

You'll have to look back at the champions of the past to give an honest assesment. I don't think Floyd cares at all, he cares about winning and nobody is beating him until he retires.
Then again why should he change his style if it's working? I mean he's a competitor and he does it to win.

I think it's pretty awesome that he can make someone as great as manny pacquiao, Juan manuel marquez look totally ordinary. He's just head and shoulders above anyone right now.

    Long live the king!

Money is not everything. Floyd has been fighting strictly for money and not the glory and is being rewarded in kind. He will be barely missed when he's gone.

Didn't really turn for Sweetpea did it? Everyone agrees he was a great fighter but all you really remember from his fights was how he used to constantly put on some boo-worthy fights.

I mean the thing was that he was trying but he wasn't good enough to beat Mayweather and never has been. I mean I know it can be hard to realise this but what happend last weekend was mayweather taking Pac to school.

He nullified everything Pacquiao does well and made it look very easy. That says alot since Pacquiao is a great champion and the second best of this era.

Lets face it Floyd has the natural God Given talent to really be what he laughingly calls himself today One of The Best Ever.
Whose fault is it he's not & never will be??? His own fault & no one elses. His cowardice & lack of belief in himself & his abilities cost him BIG TIME!!!

I believe my post covers Pernell's greatness.

Yet "everyone" would prefer to watch Gatti or Corrales fights.
