We're dealing with the type of person who would award the most points to the Olympic figure skater who fell the most often, because they clearly landed 'the more telling blows' to the ice and had the ice 'scared' about further impact after the 3rd fall.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with it. You're just coming to the wrong conclusion.

As someone who's sat down and counted punches round by round to make sure I have the most accurate numbers (don't trust anyone's eyes but your own), I appreciate something like this. Really, really do.

    Thank you.

I haven't counted the Mayweather/Pacquiao punches round-by-round, but I might over the summer. This is why we should discredit compubox operators. Get rid of them. There's enough money in the sport to develop some sort of chip to be placed in the gloves that can calculate all of this for us.

I'm not saying this is 100% accurate, but with as much controversy as there is, obviously something is wrong with the compubox of the fight in some way or another. It's seriously laughable that boxing relies men to count the punches and determine if one lands or not, especially with how fast these two men, and others, are. It's a joke. Like I said before, boxing needs to evolve.

Also, I still think Mayweather won, but it was a close fight.

why do you fl o mos get so scared whenever anyone posts careful and thoughtful ****ysis of the fight? What are you guys so worried about? Why aren't floyd fans proving their own slow motion ****ysis showing Floyd clearly won? Could it be....oh could it be... that indeed, slow motion shows Pac actually landed more? oh my...

kids, relax! it's just an ****ysis, nothing to be scared about.. The fight result cannot be overturned, you all can sleep tight tonight

How would the chip tell if a punch landed on a scoring area? Do we surgically implant corresponding chips into the scoring areas of each fighters body and head? I'm all for technological advancement in sports officiating but turning boxers into cyborgs to make it happen seems extreme and intrusive.

clearly, the people that put this together put a lot of hard work and time to provide us with this ****ysis. I would love to watch fight in slow motion and count punches myself but man, this would take so freaking long. Thank you to the person/people who took the time to carefully ****yze the fight of the century and provide all this ****ysis.

    1080p?

You've got to get that 480p rocking dog if you want to see the REAL fight and the REAL result.

It couldn't tell scoring area. I don't know. Maybe somehow it could, but what there could be is a chip placed in the GLOVES. By the amount of force, the chip could tell whether whether it was a miss, whether it landed... then, by the amount of force calculated, it could determine whether it was a jab or power punch.

If we can build holograms, objects to land on asteroids and other planets, iPhones, robots, etc... surely we can make something like this. I'm sure we can. We've built things more much amazing. I know there are chips used to determine jaw force of animals, and it's a lot more simple.

There's a fighter jet where the pilot wheres a special helmet. It's the F-22 Raptor. When the fighter pilot looks around, he doesn't see the walls of the jet or the floor. He actually sees outside of it. He sees the sky, ground, and everything around him. So, if you were to look at your legs, you'd actually see the sky below you. That's how incredible technology is. This is a loooottttttttt easier to make, lol.

    Abuffy nailed it.

And by the way, Tim, you should have followed Richie Woodhall's example and admitted you lost the first fight with Manny.

I watched the fight. Everybody watched the fight.

    It was a decisive outcome.

Do I hear you *****ing and moaning on punch stats for every fight ever and every fighter ever? No.

Of course punch stats are no guide and are often times inaccurate. Look no further than Pacquiao vs. Marquez III.

Just move on from this madness... Mayweather UD Pacquiao happened. Move on. You guys are going to drag this out for years.
