Great post, and I agree. Pacquiao boxed Mayweather, and even though it was a losing game-plan, I was surprised with the success Pacquiao had with it. Pacquiao, the guy who many said had 0 ring IQ/technical boxing ability, boxed Mayweather probably the best he's ever been BOXED. Has anyone else had that much success boxing Floyd?

His game-plan was simple. Counter Mayweather while cutting the ring, and once he had him on the ropes, unleash combinations. I felt like he had to release combinations every opportunity no matter center of the ring or on the ropes, but that's a pointless discussion now. It's just frustrating because where he released anything above a 5 punch combination, he won those rounds easily.

Also, Roach commentated on how Pacquiao was too flat-footed that night. Pacquiao said he was flat-footed because he was searching for a one punch KO. I think it had more to do with coming in the heaviest of his career- 152 with Floyd being 148.

 

This is undoubtedly the truth we can go back and fourth but this fight has doubts written all over it Pac was fighting handicapped and Mayweather still couldn't walk him down


As it stands now what we can say about this fight is Mayweather got the decision over Pac who had a torn shoulder that needed surgery couple days later.........:yep:hey

This is what I'm talking about. A thread about Pac is created and moved to receptacle in a matter of minutes, but you have a pro Floyd thread about May 2 that is hanging on the front page all day long.

I agree it will happen.

I just hope the shoulder injury is true and we get a closer fight. Mind you someone posted the slow motion version and I actually sat through it and although I scored for Mayweather on fight night Pacquiao certainly didn't disgrace himself having bored my way through the slow mo.

Would deffo watch these two go at it and without the hype I reckon we could get a way better fight now both know what to expect from each other.
