Sorry, but what was shameful was pacquiaos' performance vs mayweather. The 1000 punches man, hardly threw 400. That's mayweather's fault too?

I pay for watching 2 men boxing, not engaging in combat. One of the most rated fights of the last years, corrales vs castillo, I find it boring has hell, but the last round. I cannot see the whole fight without yawning, no intelligence at all in the ring, it is like monkeys moving chess pieces. That's what I find boring. What i'm looking for in boxing is not blood, if there's blood, no problem, but i'm not looking for it when I watch a boxing match, what I enjoy is excelence at any level.

Thank you for your post and you seem educated,go and watch nigel benn v geralld mcclallen on you tube, it makes me upset and sad to this day, when your favourite fighter takes on the p4p no1 and is a weight class lower but has the will of benn, I will leave it to you, its tragic but kind of a classic, sorry if this upsets anyone.

 

It isnt possible to discuss about ali in a boxing forum. Too many fanboys. Ali was a racist against guys of his own race that he didnt like. Ali cheated every single woman he married to. Ali was disrespectful and a living disgrace for behaving as he did with frazier after frazier gave him the oportunity to get some money to feed his family when he was broken as hell. Phrases like uncle tom, and gorila is what came out from "the greatest" when he talked about black people that he didnt like. Ali was, and is, a big pile of **** and overrated as hell.

 

In reality Mayweather is NOT undefeated. He got his a$$ whupped by Castillo & Maidana but Vegas corruption made sure he got gift decisione he did not deserve

I admire high level skill sets myself. The more skills the better.

Two of my own favourites, as mentioned, are Duran and Chavez. They were as skilled as any boxers in history and they were also very intelligent boxers. Emmanuel Steward once said of Chavez that he was the only boxer that he couldn't really improve or teach anything new, in fact he said he learned a few things from Chavez! That's quite an endorsement.

In their primes guys like Duran and Chavez were incredibly difficult to hit cleanly, however they were always within punching range, always on the front foot and always trying to take their opponents down.

Corrales vs Castillo was a thriller! Everyone loved that fight. It was so dramatic. That is what it is all about and if you just don't get it then its your loss.

You should probably stick to the amateurs or watching sparring sessions down the gym, because professional boxing, long known as 'prize fighting' and 'the hurt business' is all about using your skill set to try and knock the other guy out, always has been and that is what people, men for the most part, pay to see.
