it was a close fight but really Oscar beat himself. When he suddenly abandoned the jab that was working so well for him he allowed Mayweather back into the fight . I had it a draw

All those guys you mentioned were great boxers in their own way. They all had a combination of skills and other attributes that took them to the top and they put on some great fights.

So called 'purists' will laugh at the idea that guys like Gatti or Mayorga were great boxers. However they were good enough to win world titles and what they may have lacked in defensive ability they made up for in aggression, courage and heart. They had the warrior spirit in spades.

These are important qualities in boxing and they are qualities most men would tend to admire. It isn't all about skill sets, skills are only a part of it.

If you're a big boxing fan how the hell can there be unexpected sour g****s  Everybody knows how Mayweather fights, a brilliant but infuriating fluid, immaculate hit and not get hit style, to outpoint and get the dough and decision. You're supposed to throw him off his game and get him to fight, he shows what he's made of when forced into the trenches as seen in the Castillo 1 (loss), Maidana 1 (potential draw), DLH, parts of Hatton and Corley and the Cotto and Mosley fights (yeah he got rocked but battered shane afterwards). He's rarely been tested. He can fight evidently but it's not his forte these days, he would've been KTFO by manny if he stood there like a crash test dummy, just as Manny tried to box and got embarrassed, play to your strengths. Watch Mayweather at the lower weights, an absolute beast slipping between offense and defence. Also, ya don't make Pacquiao, Mosley, Canelo and Cotto back up if you can't fight and are feather-fisted (also well documented hand problems), he is in the pocket a lot of the time, it's called range mastery and interrupting the other guy's rhythm, he's on his bike sometimes but nowhere near as much as people claim.

I don't like to see boxers get hurt, either, but what can I do about it? It's their decision to box and they know the risks better than anyone.

I am incredibly grateful to all the boxers who put their health on the line for for the sake of the fans. Almost all of them don't make it and they make very little money out of it. The million dollar pay days are for the select few only. But still they do it.

Personally I admire their courage and heart as much as I admire their skills.

In my teens I boxed myself, I didn't have what it takes to do anything with it, but I know what its like to get knocked around and I know what its like to lose to a better boxer.

World class boxers have an obligation to put on entertaining fights as far as I'm concerned.

If they're not up for it or if they are scared about getting hurt then don't do it.

Oh, Vegas corruption, nobody knows who he is, has 8 real losses, etc. Heard it all before.

My question for you is... why you always fixated on his personal life?

You know very little about boxing and boxing skill. PAC had an opportunity to show it and he choked. Hesitating all nite, worrying about Floyd's right hand. Could've hit Floyd in the ass.

All Pac had to do was agree to some drug testing and we would have had a better fight when both were closer to prime. Floyd would have still won but could have been more exciting.

Not that simple. Pac said no to the blood drawing time date, but soon after Mayweather made a big deal about it, Pacquiao said, "Okay. Let's do it your way."

Mayweather still said no even after Pac settled to his blood testing demands, so no...that wasn't all Pac had to do.

Floyd will never come close to making the impact in this world that Ali has. And by no means is Ali broke. But he did get to lit the torch at the Olympics and he's admired the world over. I wonder how you put a price on that?

LOL, Ali sold his name to make a buck........

Ali's impact ? Draft Dodger, Racist, Pro segregation, Nation of Islam puppet just to name a few.....

Olympic torch ? Corrupt to the max and riddled with PED's for the last 60 years....

Probably the best or close to the best Heavyweight ever inside the Ring but outside the Ring he was/is always a low life.
