Taking a knee to preserve their career and earn more millions seem pretty smart to me. Legends have quit in all ways, todays fighters are just getting smarter and admitting that a night is not your night, that takes a lot of balls for a man to admit. And yes, you are right, Rosario did make Camacho change his style a bit, no arguments there...and oh yeah, Rosario also received one of the most vicious beatings ever when Chavez got a hold of him. :deal

lopez won fair and square. marquez gave a more than game performance but was not the better man. lopez had him beat.

Lopez won, but I wouldn't say that it was 100% clean. What Lopez did wasn't what I would call a person exhibiting sportsmanship, since he's been around boxing long enough to know that he shouldn't do that, but oh well.

Anyhow, I don't believe that had a lot to do with Lopez' victory. Lopez was just to young and powerful for the older Marquez. Those four fights certainly took a toll on Marquez, but he represented Mexico very well.

I loved the fight and I hated the way it ended. I was really dissapointed on Marquez on his post interview on the ring when he said that his shoulder was damage and he didn't want to postpone the fight again. To me, that's BS... Come on... Don't take away from Juanma's victory if you didn't want to come out. On the other hand Juanma was always saying how great and strong of a fighter Marquez was and always giving Marquez his props.

No excuses my friend, if you lost you lost and that's it. I would love to see them fight again on a rematch...

 

LOL, that's true I'm noticing that some of the Boris that dissappeared after the Calderon loss are now popping up. I support Mexican fighters and might brag some when they win, but I always give credit to the Puerto Rican fighter when they get a good win. I love boxing and I love this rivalry. :good
