Margo staggered? :nono I don't think so, I could be wrong, but Margo was eating all of Cottos power shots like pan dulce. As a matter of fact that last round was a good round for Margarito and showewd he was still very much in the fight.

I'm not going to say they robbed Margo of a chance, because chances were he wasn't going to catch Cotto. Cotto was not going to knock Margo out. Cotto was punching while moving and wasn't sitting on his shots.

Props to Cotto for doing a better job this time of staying off the ropes and corner. That's the mistake he made the first time.

 

i want to see on tv this weekend and if i am wrong i will say he was not staggered

I was way back at MSG and he looked like he got shook up quite a few times from where i was sitting

I got it recorded, so I'll check it tonight. But from watching it on my big screen on HD. Margo was taking all of Cotto's shots, and kept going forward. Sure he had one eye like in the manny fight, but he was still very strong and had stamina. But he couldn't deal with the movement Cotto brought this time around.

By the way I would of like to see the fight continue, but I didn't see the point in complaining being that Cottos was still moving well and had plenty of stamina himself. I'm sure the Boricuas wanted to see Cotto continue to brutalize Margo as well.

 

1 min remaining in 9th round... Margo staggers and falls forward onto Miguel who caught him like a bag of rice... Left hook to the jaw and timber... Yeah he was staggered.

 

Cotto was winning pretty much every round, but not once did he stagger Margo. Margo was chasing him all night despite taking more punches. Generally the guy getting hurt and dominated has to resort to clinching, but not this time.

 

Cotto won the the fight. But deep down he knows he only won because he survived. He didn't hurt Margarito. He didn't stop MARGARITO. Tono beat him into a knee. You never heal from that. The only way Cotto would have gotten his vengeance is if he would have made Tono take a knee, or to KO his ass. Cotto and all of the Licans are fooling themselves if they think this is revenge. He stopped Tono's deformed, damaged, surgically repaired eye. He didn't do **** to Margarito. Cotto looked more ****ed up. He ran like a *****. Hit and run. He wasn't even sitting on his punches. Cotto won the boxing match, Tono still owns him.
Tono needs to retire. Cotto is still soft as ****. He will never recover from what Tono did to him. He stole his heart and ate it infront oh him.

 

So if all Mexicans supported Margarito then all Puerto Ricans support Resto and Cintron then. I really dont think so no te hagas pendejo wey.

 

Really :think? Staggered that bad huh, I guess I really missed it, but I will check it out and rewatch it. So was that the only time?

check the record Cotto stops Margarito in fight 2 two rounds earlier than he lost to him and with no hand wraps and hitting like a girl!!!!:hi:

I picked Cotto by outboxing, so it really doesn't matter to me. I never really liked Margos attitude specially after the Mosely scandal.

Anyways, Margo took Cotto's 0 something much more prestigious then getting payback on a guy who hasn't done much since the scandal had been banned for 2 years from boxing. Just for cotto to get some part of his heart back and balls, even though for some reason cotto was still running like a girl most of the fight, but showed some good instances of balls and heart when pushing margo back, and standing toe to toe, he gets some respect for that, should have done that in the first.

 

The most bitter blood runs through their veins... No dispute.

 

Bitter over a Margarito eye stoppage? I don't even like the guy. I don't support him or follow him. I just think he is tough as ****. And at times in the past I have criticized him. Good win for Cotto. Let's move on.
