He was a basketball player from the late late 70's, 80's to the early 90's... He played most of his life for the Vaqueros de Bayamon, in which I played at when I was a kid... Actually i was coached at a point by Ruben Rodriguez which is a basketball legend here too...

 

I doubt that I remember Arum talking about it being a title eliminator at superfeather. Maybe b/c he lost to raheem at 135 and had no title or sancationing body behind the fight to support it. but that is just my own theory.

Gandul but his glory days were with Fajardo though, he played with the Vaqueros late in his career.....Ruben Rodriguez's shot from the corners were stuff of legends. Ruben Rodriguez, Neftali, Dalmau, Fantauzi, Blondet and Josian Baez were my all time favorites...Danny "El Corre Camino" and Tito Ortiz were also bad mofos.....

 

LOL...Jose "Piculin" Ortiz.....He played in the nba with the either Portland or Utah, I cant remember right now....
